Haapalehto is a picturesque high-class, all-equipped modern house designed by a famous architect, situated in the Tampere region, approximately 22 km north-west of Tampere. The house rests within its own large garden.
It is quiet and peaceful, and the upstairs terrace allows view of south and the garden. There is also a public swimming beach 1 km on the cost of Näsijärvi. The water is clean and you can fish and rent a boat if you want.
During winter time you can make slalom, cross-country skiing, skating or visit a Nokia Spa. In summer there is lots to do: swimming, fishing, hiking in a national park. Tampere is the second largest city in Finland with a lot of culture events and museums. Särkänniemi Amusement Park is a paradise for children.

The Western Finland region
Western Finland is a wonderful area to make a holiday. There are many great cities like Tampere, Turku and Pori. Tampere is surrounded with many lakes and there is one of the world`s greatest archipelago in front of Turku.
In Western Finland area there are four seasons to be experienced. The snow comes normally in November and the spring begins in April. Temperature in summer varies from 15-28 C degrees and during winter time from 0 C to -20 C degrees.
Tampere / Ylojarvi area
The capital of Finland's Western Lake District, Tampere, is located in the midst of a lake labyrinth - 200 lakes situated within the city limits. A big city by Finnish standards, with almost 210,000 inhabitants, Tampere still manages to feel like a small town. In the centre, everything is within walking distance.
Tampere offers a great variety of activities, adventures and entertainment for children as well as adults. The most popular family destination is Sarkanniemi Adventure Park. Child-friendly museums include, for example, the Moominvalley, the Finnish Hockey Hall of Fame at Vapriikki Museum Centre and the Spy Museum, Water lovers can enjoy swimming at Nasijarvi beaches or in a tropical spa in Nokia. A boat ride for a summer picnic on Viikinsaari island takes 25 minutes or, if you wish, you can enjoy a longer cruise on Lake Pyhajarvi or Lake Nasijarvi.
Seitseminen National Park 30 kms from the house is ideal for day trips or for hikes lasting a couple of days. Longer trips can be extended to for example Riuttaskorpi recreational forest and Helvetinjarvi National Park, on a hiking trail network called Pirkan Taival.
How to get there
There are cheap flights by Ryanair from London, Dublin, Milan, Frankfurt and Riga to Tampere airport, which is located 30 km from the house. Many cheap flights land to Helsinki-Vantaa airport, where you can take a bus to Tampere. From Turku harbour you can take a train to Tampere. The house is located 22 km from Tampere centre and there is a bus connection from Tampere to Ylinen. Nearest bus stop is 500 m from the house. There are lots of car hiring companies in Tampere.
