About the home

New development. Tamariu villa designed in a very modern style with high quality finishing. Large windows allowing to enjoy the natural light coming from the outside.

Located in the estate of Aigua Gelida, Tamariu, there is only 1.5 km from the beach and from the centre of the village. South orientation with sun the whole day long.

In the private garden there is a very nice lawned garden and swimming pool. Very quite area surrounded by pine trees.

On the top floor there is a garage for one car, entrance hall, two twin bedrooms and one bedroom with two bunk-beds. built-in wardrobes in all the bedrooms. Bathroom. Nice terrace of 8 m2 overlooking the garden.

On the lower floor, at the same level as the garden, there is one double bedroom with dressing room and en-suite bathroom. Large living dining-room with direct access to the garden and to the covered terrace with living dining room for the summer. Open plan kitchen fully equipped. Toilette. Air Conditioning. Capacity: 10 People.

Entry time is from 4.00pm on arrival day, and departure time is 10.00am - if we can be flexible with these times we will be. English speaking representative on hand to answer any questions.

A 25% deposit is required on booking, with the balance due 10 weeks prior to departure. For any bookings made within 10 weeks of departure, then the full amount will be required on booking.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia/Barcelona region

The Costa Brava is located within the Spanish province of Girona and spans 214km of the coastline starting close to the North Eastern borders with France right down to the beautifully picturesque Lloret de Mar. Since the 1950's much of the area has undergone serious development for the holiday industry and now attracts vast numbers of tourists each and every year, especially from the UK and France; however areas of Llafranc, Tamariu and Begur remain untouched.

The Costa Brava is blessed with an excellent summer climate and has a variety of superb beaches to visit. As you might expect originally the majority of towns and villages that are dotted throughout the Costa Brava started out as fishing settlements.

Stretching from the French border in the north down to Barcelona, the Costa Brava has a wealth of natural beauty to offer to the discerning traveller.

It is very popular with both the young and the old with a variety of contrasting coastal scenery, lush beaches, historical and artistic interests, and, of course, Barcelona and Girona.

The Tamariu / Aigua Xelida area

Llafranc, Calella de Palafrugell and Tamariu are all very similar villages - despite being on Spain's coastline, unlike many other beach towns, they have escaped mass construction, and have kept the charm that very few places can offer.

The three villages are all great destinations for families, and have quiet beaches and a great selection of restaurants and shops. The area is one of Spain's best kept secrets - those that are lucky enough to find it are sure to return!!!

Girona airport is approx 1 hour away - there are many flights from lots of UK and European airports as this is a main base for Ryanair.

Barcelona airport is approx 1 hour 45 mins - there are many flights from UK and European airports with all major airlines serving (eg, BA, Iberia, KLM, Air France) as well as low cost airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair. www.skyscanner also have a good round up of flights.

Perpignan airport is approx 2 hours away, and is used by airlines such as Flybe and Ryanair.

Car hire from both Girona and Barcelona airports is much cheaper than car hire in the UK - try www.carjet.com or www.doyouspain.com - they are both brokers, but seem to be cheaper than going direct to car hire companies.
