Apartment | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 4
Our spacious 2 bedroom apartment is situated on the raised ground floor. From here we have lovely far reaching views over the sea and Paphos. It faces south west and therefore has wonderful sunsets over the sea which can be enjoyed from the large private balcony.
Tala Panorama is built on the edge of Tala village. It is approx 10 miles from Kato Paphos harbour and seafront where there are numerous restaurants who will welcome you at any time, for coffee, lunch or dinner. The seafront in Cyprus is accessible to everyone and can be walked or cycled for miles in either direction.
Once back at the apartment you are above the humidity line so even on the hottest summer day there is a breeze to cool you down. This is also when you will enjoy the large kidney shaped swimming pool and pretty gardens with flowering hedges and trees. By the pool is a shower/toilet block.
In the apartment there are 2 bedrooms. One has a double bed and the other twin beds. All towels and bedding is provided. There is a bathroom with bath and shower over. The kitchen is fully equipped including fridge/freezer, electric hob and full oven, microwave oven, washing machine and all utensils.
For your entertainment there is a TV, dvd player, radio and i-pod player/charger.
Tala village is a 15 minute, fairly strenuous walk uphill which will definitely get you ready to enjoy the several bars and restaurants in the village. Of course when its time to go home its all downhill!!
Drive in the opposite direction from Kato Paphos and you will find Coral Bay a thriving resort in its own right. Here is the largest sandy beach in the area, although there are lots of smaller beaches, either with sand or pebbles. Driving past Coral Bay will bring you to the fabulous Akamas Peninsular, a completely natural area where turtles lay there eggs in season.
Every time we return to Cyprus we find somewhere we have never been before. It is recommended to have a car so that the area can be appreciated in full.

About this location
The Paphos District
Paphos is situated on the west coast of Cyprus and is much greener than the east of the island. In the springtime the wild flowers and almond and citrus blossoms are amazing. Outside the main tourist area of Kato Paphos are numerous villages and as you climb up into the hills there are large expanses of forest. A trip up into the Troodos mountains and Mount Olympus is a must, snow in winter and a break from the heat in the height of summer. We also like the area around Polis and Laatsi which is on the north side. Here they have a new harbour filled with fabulous boats and there are numerous bars where you can sit with a drink and enjoy the view. Heading east from Polis are sandy beaches, picnic sites and rugged coastline, until you bump into the border with Turkish held north Cyprus.
There are plenty of sports opportunities including golf, sea and reservoir fishing, karting, archery and tennis. You can walk on the bottom of the sea and learn to snorkel or dive. In a Cyprus winter you can ski in the morning and spend the afternoon on the beach. It is also a possible to walk in the hills, in the mountains, through forests, and on the coast. The E4 european long distance path runs through Cyprus and can be accessed for shorter walks in various areas.
The ancient tombs of the kings are a fascinating cultural site and from the harbour at Kato Paphos you can access a site where the roman mosaics must be some of the best preserved anywhere. There are also some very good museums.
The 'other end' of the island, ie Ayia Napa, can be reached by motorway in approx 2.5 hours and the capital Nicosia in approx 2 hours.
