Situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac, this air conditioned luxury home is one of a small number which share an exclusive and extensive sun terrace and large open swimming pool, where guests can relax and enjoy spectacular views of the sea, mountainside, just 7km away from bustling Paphos.
Accommodation is provided on two floors and for those who prefer privacy these views can also be enjoyed from the first floor main bedroom with covered balcony and the downstairs living room with outside covered patio, both with tables and chairs and perfect for al-fresco dining.
As well as Tala being close enough for guests to enjoy the attractions of Paphos, this is also an opportunity to experience the atmosphere of a traditional Greek Cypriot village with it's tavernas and bars, all within a few minutes drive or short walk away.

Sunset retreat is a new and modern villa equipped and furnished to a superior standard. Elevated in the hills, it benefits from the most spectacular panoramic views and scenery which the property is designed to be visible from either upstairs or downstairs. It is decorated in a light cream colour throughout with cool ceramic tiled floors, ensuring it provides a cool sanctuary during the hot summer months.
The main bedroom has a double bed and an open patio window leading on to a fair sized balcony overlooking the pool and terrace area, equipped with a table and chairs, perfectly positioned for seeing the beauty of the area either in the daytime or as the lights are twinkling as the sun sets. For wardrobe space, there is a triple fitted wardrobe, floor to ceiling, with hanging space and additional drawers. The bedroom is air conditioned or you could leave open one of the patio windows to enjoy the cool night breeze.
The second bedroom is of a similar size to the main bedroom and has two single beds plus a further fitted wardrobe with plenty of storage space and again is fitted with air conditioning.
There is one bathroom upstairs with a shower, vanity unit and toilet situated on the landing between both bedrooms.
The ground floor is a large open plan area, with an Italian fitted kitchen facing on to the front of the property. The kitchen has a fully fitted and integrated dishwasher, oven, washing machine and fridge freezer, hob, and the kitchen also has a microwave oven, kettle and toaster. Crockery, pots and pans, glass ware are all provided.
The lounge area a large brown leather sofa corner unit, a 32 inch LCD flat screen TV with a satellite system that receives hundreds of different programmes throughout the world, including many UK based stations and BBC World News. There is a multi region DVD player and a selection of DVD films to watch, once the sun has gone down or a small selection of novels, if you prefer literary escapism. (see photo gallery). The DVD player can also play any MP3 players through its sound system if music is your thing. The lounge area overlooks the pool and sun terrace and the patio window leads directly out onto the terrace in front of the pool.
The dining area has a cherry wood table and four dining chairs and there is also a large glass dining table and chairs which are on the patio area outside the patio window. Between the lounge and dining area is a cloak room toilet with wash basin.

The sun terrace is a very large area that benefits from the sun for most of the day enabling you to move your sun loungers around to make the best of your tan or get some respite from the sun under the covered terrace area. The aqua marine rectangular swimming pool is the centre piece of the outdoor area, built on the edge of the hill side, and as the pool remains in the sun all day long, it is guaranteed to feel warm. Four sun loungers are available, allowing you to relax and build up your tan.
There is an outdoor table and chairs which seats 4 and can be moved around the spacious patio area for use as required. If you like dining al fresco, there is also a barbecue area on the terrace available for use.
The outside terrace is enclosed and accessible only to guests or residents who may be staying there, offering privacy for those staying at there and safety, especially for children.
All customers are expected to have their own travel insurance.
Private parking is available.
Young children should be supervised in the outdoor area.
Sorry but no pets allowed and the property has no smoking inside, there is plenty of space outside to smoke.
The accommodation will be cleaned prior to arrival.
A depsit of 25% of the cost of the holiday is required at the time of booking and the full balance plus £150 security deposit is due 8 weeks before departure and can be made via bank transfer, cheque or Paypal.
The Paphos region
On the beautiful west coast of the island, the Paphos region offers a warm welcome and a wealth of attractions to holiday makers of all ages looking for sun, sea, and sand.
Paphos itself offers a unique blend of ancient and modern attractions, so it’s no wonder that this elegant city and favorable climate is so popular as an all year round tourist destination.
Such are the archaeological treasures and antiquities here that UNESCO has listed Paphos as a World Heritage Site. The area is packed with history and amongst the treasures that have been unearthed are Classical Temples, Villas, Vaults and Caves, and some of the world’s best preserved mosaics dating back to the 5th century, all of which are easily accessible from Tala.
Lots of local restaurants offer good value high quality international cuisine as well as traditional Greek tavernas, and for those interested in water sports and boat trips, the medieval harbor at Paphos which is lined with vibrant and colorful restaurants is a must to visit. The town itself is well worth exploring with its eclectic mix of modern supermarkets, department stores, and traditional markets.
It really is no wonder that the locals often refer to the Tala area as ‘the Beverley Hills of Cyprus’ with panoramic views over Paphos, the surrounding hills, and of course Coral Bay and the Mediterranean.
With it’s cooling breezes during the hot summer the region is a popular location for tourists and Cypriot residents alike, and an ideal place to relax and get away from it all and yet still be within a short drive of the many attractions that the Paphos region has to offer.
Within a few minutes drive or short walk from ‘Sunset Retreat’, the tradition of old is beautifully captured at the village centre in Tala, with it’s narrow paved streets and church dating back to the 15th century, where you can enjoy a drink or a meal at a choice of restaurants, bars or traditional tavernas.
Here you will also find a few small family run supermarkets for day to day needs, or the large Carrefour Hypermarket is just 15mins drive away at Paphos.
Just over a kilometer from ‘Sunset Retreat’ is the monastery of “Agios Neofytos” said to have been founded in the year 1159. Here you can imagine how life may have been then and reflect on life today in a peaceful environment surrounded by spectacular views. There is also a series of caves with frescoes.
The nearest Blue Flag sandy beaches are within a 15 minute drive away and at Coral Bay you will find a beautiful beach, restaurants, bars, and gift shops together with many water sports including jet-skiing, and skiing with parachutes.
