The North Wales region

Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Tal y Llyn

Set in the peaceful foothills of the Cader Idris mountain range is the tiny hamlet of Tal y Llyn. Situated on the shores of the lake that it shares its name, this little settlement is an ideal place for walkers, cyclists and fishing enthusiasts as well as nature lovers and bird watchers. The Tal y Llyn narrow gauge railway is also very close by whilst slightly further a field is the historic town of Dolgellau and the renowned seaside resort of Towyn. These two larger settlements offer a variety of good shops, pubs and restaurants, although if you prefer open spaces, the beach at Barmouth is definitely the place to go and has been awarded a blue flag. With such spectacular scenery, this wonderful region has no shortage of places to see and things to do.
