we had a great time in morocco staying at the ireland house. It's very close to the beach and you have everything you need close by. If your a surfer it is ideal too. the best thing about the Ireland house though is it's host, Brendan is a great guy, and is very welcoming and extremely helpful and will make you feel your in a home from home. i highly recommend if you're going to visit morocco for some lazy days in the sun, Ireland house is an ideal spot. |

Ireland House Review
Review Submitted: January 11, 2010 Date of Stay: December 2009
We stay in one of the apartments for 5 days and it was very nice. The apartment is simple, but large and have all necessary facilities. The location is also good, 10 minutes for the busy Agadir, just in front of the beach, few minutes from Taghazut village and surf breaks. Brendan was very helpful, and gave us 100% assistance. Shaihid was also fantastic and did look after us all the time. We met other very nice people staying in the

I stayed at Ireland House with two of my girlfriends last August and I am already planning my next trip.
Brendan, the owner, practically thought of everything, from airport pick ups to trips to the supermarket, which was ideal considering that we didn't have a car. I can honestly say he went above and beyond to accomodate us and all with a smile on his face. We didn't just have a fantastic holiday but we've also made friends for life. The apartment is quite spacious and well furnished and the view from the roof terrace is simply breathtaking. The flat is however on a main road which does get a little busy and noisy during the day. The beach is only a short walk away and it is unspoilt and beautiful. It is also a surfers' paradise but you don't have to be a surfer to enjoy it. The village has plenty of little shops for everyday buys but be warned, no alcohol within easy reach. The person in charge of security, a Maroccan through and through, Saiid, was also very helpful and never too far away. Agadir is only a short distance away and if it's the hustle and bustle of nightlife you are looking for, then that's the place to be. There's also plenty of little quaint villages on either side of the coast which can be easily explored, though a car is probably needed for this. I personally enjoyed the peace and quiet the location offered and couldn't get enough of the magnificent views enjoyed from the different angles of the property. I found people in the village very friendly and welcoming and I can proudly say that I got a taste of the real Morocco on this holiday. I will most definitely go back and stay in exactly the same place.

Brendan was very helpfull in answering all questions before we took of for a short (kite)surf holiday. The apartment was spacious for the 3 of us, and good enough equipped.
We were there beginning of Feb. There was plenty of surf, but helas, no wind. Otherwise kitesurfing is possible near the house more to the north.

2011 visit done 2012 here we come again
Review Submitted: March 2, 2011 Date of Stay: February 2011
having just returned from Ireland House, all of our group have made the decision to return again next year. the owner Brendan, made us all welcome from day one, he had arranged rental cars from the airport for us as requested they were waiting as we arrived, no waiting around for them to turn up and 10 mins later we were on our way. on arrival we were met by Brendan, who welcomed us all and showed us our appartments.
the rooms are clean and tidy and comfortable, more than adequate for our group as we were there to surf. we had internet connection, sattelite tv for the evenings to help everyone relax after a hard days surfing.
Brendan is a very approachable host, he lives in the building and is a font of knowledge on the area, from where to play golf to the best place to shop locally. he always passes the time of day with you and sorts out any hiccups that may occur very quickly and without fuss.
there are a number of surfing breaks nearby at banana beach, crou crou and panoramas all within 5 mins in a car, anchor point is a couple of minutes further on.
if you are planning a trip out id recommend speaking to Brandon first, itll save you a 7 hour car journey up into the Anti Atlas for a 2 hour stay.
altogether a totally enjoyable stay and experience, id recommend taking Brandons offer of a bbq should it be offered.
we are already looking forward to our next visit to Ireland house.

Without doubt this was excellent. First class organisation, first class hospitality and a spacioius self contained apartment with all the facilities you require for your stay. Brendan (the owner) also lives in the house. He is very helpful and hospitable without at all being overbearing in any way.
I originally thought the apartment was in Taghazoute and this was my mistake (it's in Tamraght about 5 km away). We visited Taghazoute and on reflection we were glad that we did not stay there.
There are enough shops in the town to buy what you may need on a day-to-day basis. If you are arriving at Agadir airport, Brendan can arrange transport to the apartment for you. I would recommend that you take up this option for two reasons: 1) the airport in Agadir is actually some distance south of the city; 2) you will get the opportunity to stop off at a large supermarket in Agadir and you can stock up on items that are not available locally (beer & wine) and take advantage of a much larger selection of items than are available locally.
The beach is only a few hundred meters away and I managed to surf every day. A car is not really necessary if you are there for a week.If you need one, Brendan can arrange a car for you; we didn't this time but next time it would be useful to explore further.
I would not describe the apartment as luxurious and if that is what you need then Brendan can suggest a new place in the town run by a friend of his. Having said that, luxury is not something we are entirely at ease with. So for us the place was ideal.
We have been back a week now. It was our first visit to Morocco and I am already plotting next year's visit ! We will of course stay here.
