The Agadir region
Near to Agadir, next to the Atlantic Ocean, lies the quiet and friendly village Tamraght.
In this peaceful place, with 340 days a year sunshine we offer 2 rental locations, within walking distance of the lovely beach.
Tamraght is the dream destination for the beach lover and surfer.
Tamraght, also known as 'surfer's paradise', is the ultimate spot for surfers who want to enjoy maximally and affordably the most beautiful surf spots in Morocco. Within just a short walk of Tamraght, lies the beach which is suitable for the beginning and advanced wave surfer.
Nearby places: fascinating Agadir; lovely fishing village Taghazout; Immouzer a picturesque village known for its waterfalls;
Taroudant, small Marrakech.
The nearby town of Aourir (approx. 1 km) offers its visitors an authentic Moroccan experience. The highlight of the week is Wednesday, the day of the weekly market ('souk'). The products, sounds, colors, and smells make it a worthy visit. Aourir is also known for its many great Tajine restaurants, which are being served for little money. Because of the sweet bananas that grow on the fertile grounds along the river, Aourir is also called Banana village.
In Aourir you can find a post office, two banks, multiple pharmacies and many shops, where you can buy everything that you need, like fresh meat, fish, vegetables, fruit and spices.
The lovely fishing village Taghazout is only 3 km away. You can reach it by a walk on the beach or by car, taxi or bus. Just like Tamraght, it is a much visited place by surfers from all over the world. In Taghazout, you will find many restaurants and little shops, that sell a broad range of products. The little streets, the fishing boats, the market, the sea, the friendly inhabitants, and the bypassing goats, make Taghazout a town of authenticity, peace, and charm.
Immouzer, a picturesque village with its white houses, approximately 40 km from Tamraght, is known for its waterfalls. The breathtaking journey towards it goes through the offshoots of the Atlas Mountains, across Paradise Valley, a beautiful oasis with palm trees along the side of a river.
The most renowned seaside resort of Morocco, only 12 km from Tamraght, is called Agadir. With its fantastic climate (at least 340 sunny days a year), and its 10 km long beach, Agadir has everything for a wonderful vacation in the sun and on the beach. Agadir is a member of the club of Most Beautiful Bays in the World. The bay has a marina which offers place to hundreds of recreational boats.
Next to the beach, for 3 km, lies the beautiful boulevard, with a fantastic view across the entire bay. It offers a great opportunity to walk alongside the beautiful beach or take a cup of Moroccan tea at one of the many restaurants. The fish port is also worth a visit.In the endless nightlife of Agadir, you find clubs, bars, and restaurants abundantly. If you want to dance, to enjoy the traditional Moroccan kitchen or just have a drink: your vacation is definitely too short to discover it all.
Also during daytime, there is more than enough to do: visit the souk, the Marina, the modern shopping area and great restaurants. Agadir furthermore has some big shopping malls like the Marjane and Carrefour for all your daily grocery shopping.
