Bali River Retreat is an exclusive resort with 4 luxury villas only nestled on the hillside of a wild and lush valley reaching all the way down to the Sungi river. Away from the bustling touristic places you will discover the authentic Bali, its paddy fields and traditional villages with friendly people.At the retreat you will enjoy luxury and tranquility through a full immersion in a magnificent nature. The 17 meters long infinity pool has a breath taking view on the valley. Stairs will lead you down to the Sungi river where you can take a bath, surrounded by tall bamboo bushes.

The villas have been designed and positioned to offer you the maximum privacy. Each villa has a surface of 60 square meters and has a private wood terrace and en suite open bathroom with spacious rain shower. The bedroom, which occupies the main space, has a lounge area with a daybed, a working desk and a large dressing room.

The lounge & dining area is a unique and open space located at the center of the resort overviewing the infinity pool and the valley.
Due to the unique location of the resort, there are no restaurants nearby and we offer a full board package, including all drinks except alcoholic ones. Our Balinese cooks will prepare authentic Balinese dishes with locally grown products. Special care is given to the selection of ingredients. We only use olive oil and no MSG or any processed foods or artificial flavors. In our garden, we grow our own spices such as lemon grass, galangal and ginger. Fruit juices will be prepared with seasonal fresh fruits. If you have any special food requirements, preferences or restrictions, Juli , our resort manager will adapt the cooking accordingly.

Hiking and biking are a good way to discover the surrounding nature and villages. Mountain bikes with helmets are provided for free.
Juli, the resort manager, will be at your disposal for car excursions to visit the scenic spots nearby. The famous paddy fields of Jatiluwih are 20 minutes away and the local market of Bedugul is 40 minutes away. For shopping, the village of Ubud, famous for it`s artist workshops and galleries is an hour drive. The sea temple of Tanah Lot and the beaches south of Tabanan are also an hour drive from the resort.
At the resort, multiple wooden decks and terraces will enable you to exercise in privacy. Our newly built river deck, surrounded by wild bamboo bushes, is a perfect place for meditation and yoga. On request, a yoga trainer can come to the resort.
A bale ( Balinese hut) has been set in separate part of the garden where we offer Balinese oil massages.
