Absolutely stunning views from this gorgeous upper floor duplex offering spacious accommodation for families and adult groups alike.

BBQ with family and friends on the huge enclosed deck with electric opening roof while watching whales (May - Oct) and dolphins frolic in the ocean below. Sand Castle is only five minutes walk from two great beaches.

South Curl Curl has a lovely safe, child friendly rock pool with beach front cafe to enjoy a latte while watching the kids swim. Freshwater Beach is one of the prettiest and safest surfing beaches in Sydney. Enjoy a cold ale or glass of bubbles in the beer garden at the famous Harbord Hilton Hotel after your swim.

Freshwater Village shops are only 10 minutes walk away and cover all shopping needs as well as delicious restaurants and cafes.

The New South Wales region

Sydney's Northern Beaches are only a couple of hours from the beautiful Blue Mountains and the NSW Wine region of the Hunter Valley. Both are popular day trips for overseas visitors. Taronga Zoo offers some of the best views of Sydney Harbour and, only 20mins by car, is a great day trip. North Head and Governor Phillip Look out both have spectacular views.

Don't forget to visit the very famous Palm Beach (otherwise known as Summer Bay) and while there hike up to Barrenjoey Lighthouse. On the way back to fabulous Freshwater, pull in to the Newport Arms Hotel for a bite to eat or just a drink.

Drop in to Manly Ocean World and walk under the sharks and experience the thrills of Manly Water Works water slides. Only half an hour on the ferry from Manly across gorgeous Sydney Harbour is Sydney City itself.

Aside from being close to the beach, Sand Castle is walking distance to children's playgrounds and parks.

Tennis courts are available for hire at Keirle Park and Warringah Golf course is only 5 minutes drive away. Warringah Mall has great shops and department stores and is only 5-10mins by car.

The headland offers some of the most beautiful coastal walks in Sydney. Cosmopolitan Manly is only about 25 minutes walk or 10 mins in the car.

How to get there

Fly in to Sydney Airport.

You can get a taxi (approx $80), Northern Beaches or Manly Airport bus (approx $30 per person) or train to Circular Quay Station and Ferry to Manly, then taxi from Manly to Freshwater (approx $10 for taxi).

Hire Cars available at the airport include Budget and Hertz.

Sand Castle is the entire top floor duplex with large zoned living areas and three bedrooms. The Master with en suite has a Queen bed. There are magnificent views out to sea to the south towards Manly Beach and North Head. Bedroom 2 also has a Queen Bed. Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds. A single trundle bed is available to be placed in the Master Bedroom for a 7th guest. The main bathroom includes a bath and shower.

There is a separate lounge room with large LCD television, DVD player and stereo with i-pod dock. A lovely sunny kitchen and dining area open out to external decks as well as huge enclosed alfesco dining area with electric opening roof. All living areas and decks have stunning ocean and beach views.

The washing machine, iron and ironing board are located in the kitchen and there is a large washing line as well as airing racks for drying clothes.

Sand Castle has reserved off-street parking for one car. The large 4 burner BBQ is located on the enclosed deck with electric opening roof. There are 2 sun-lounges to relax in the sun on your private decks. Two boogie boards are available for Sand Castle guests to ride the waves.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time here, and watching the whales every day has been fantastic - we will miss the views and closeness to the sea. What can we say about the Sand Castle, but wow! What a way to finish a spectacular holiday in Australia. The place was spacious enough to be able to absorb seven of us with ease. The “outdoor” covered deck with its opening roof was a real bonus. The balcony was safe enough to let our 3 year old play without worry.

We had a wonderful time there with spectacular views in all directions, especially out to sea. When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by Caroline who helped us to settle in very quickly.

Curl Curl and Freshwater beaches were a few minutes walk away. We also walked to Manly in less than half an hour.

The photos of the Sand Castle you see on the web-site are what you find when you arrive.

We still cannot get over how lucky we were to find such superb accommodation and we would highly recommend it.
