About the home

Located in Sydney's serene northern beaches near Avalon just 45 minutes from the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The studio cottage is located in a quiet residential area in walking distance of the local cafe, pizza, bottle and organic food shops.

A short drive will transport you to a number of stunning ocean beaches and pools. Choose from Avalon Beach, Whale Beach, Palm Beach, Bilgola Beach and Newport Beach.

View the spectacular sunsets across Pittwater from one of the many bays around the shores of Clareville.

Visit Avalon to enjoy the numerous cafes and restaurants or browse the boutique shops for that special purchase.

For bush walking enthusiasts there are national parks, reserves, coastal tracks and the recently constructed wetlands.

Enjoy a picnic at Paradise Beach.

A game of golf at Long Reef, Bayview, Mona Vale, Avalon or Palm Beach.

Catch a ferry from Palm Beach to the Basin located on the western shores of Pittwater.

Hire a canoe and explore Narrabeen Lakes.

Catch a movie at Avalon's local theatre.

There are just too many things to experience; a second visit will be required.

Conditions

Animals: Well behaved "small" to "medium" dogs are allowed but sorry, no cats. Dog tariff is $25.00 / night / dog.

Bonds: A refundable bond and breakages deposit of $250.00 is required plus an additional dog bond of $250.00 if applicable. A 100% refund will be paid within 2 working days of your departure, subject to satisfactory property and contents inspection.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy for bookings of two (2) weeks or less: A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is required 30 days in advance of the arrival date. 100% refund with minimum 30 days notice prior to the arrival date. Thereafter 100% refund only if the cottage is rebooked for the cancelled period. If the cottage is not rebooked there is no refund available.

Deposit and Cancellation Policy for bookings of two (2) weeks or greater: A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is required 90 days in advance of the arrival date. There is a "sliding" refund scale. Please discuss with owner.

Travel Insurance: It is recommended that guests take out travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations.

The New South Wales region

New South Wales lies on the east coast of Australia. The State capital, Sydney, is Australia’s premier gateway and the largest city in Australia. The Sydney / Bilgola Plateau area

North of the city, the beautiful stretch of coastline from Manly to Palm Beach has a relaxed beachside ambience and plenty of things to see and do.

With the Pacific Ocean on one side and Pittwater on the other, the peninsula covers about 18 km of open coastline and has excellent dining, surf beaches, waterways and parklands.

Bordering Pittwater to the west is Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, which has pockets of rainforest with creeks, waterfalls, Aboriginal rock art and campsites.

Nearby ocean pools along the northern beaches are at Avalon,
Bilgola, Newport and Palm Beach.

Approximately one to one and a half hours (depending on the time of travel) drive north from Sydney International Airport. If you do not wish to hire a car (which we advise you do) there are numerous taxis. Shuttle buses operate to the northern beaches. These should be pre-booked.

“Tranquil and relaxing” Despite the weather letting us down, this tranquil cottage did not. “Home from home, friendly & helpful” First time in Australia from UK, good location on the northern beach, Michael was really helpfull and friendly, the accommodation is lovely. Stayed for 11 nights and used public transport with my 17 year old daughter to explore, so easy to get around. Access to the pool and hot tub whenever we wanted to. Would recommed to anyone, perfect host, thank you.
