The climate is temperate with warm summers with costal temperatures between 18 and 35 C (over 40C in western Sydney) between December and February and mild dry winters when temperatures at Bondi may still reach 24C. Bondi Beach is 8kms from Sydney City: 10 minutes by car or 20 minutes by bus or train and a few minutes from Bondi Junction with it's train station and ultra-modern shopping centre. Busses run every 5 - 30 minutes 24 hours a day.
Bondi is an outdoor-lover's paradise with swimming, surfing, walking and alfresco dining. It features a huge range of restaurants cafes to suit all tastes and budgets. The sand and surf is on your door step. The city boasts numerous museums and cultural activities and a vibrant and varied nightlife, within Bondi and further afield.
There are two Golf Course with 10-15 minutes walk with the spectacular Sydney Harbour and its secluded harbour beaches close by. There are spectacular cliff top walks available from the beach north to the historic harbour fishing village of Watson’s Bay and south to the equally magnificent beaches of Tamarama, Bronte and Coogee.
How to get there
Bondi Beach is 8km from Sydney City Centre and about 15km from the airport.
A taxi from the airport takes 20-30 minutes and will cost about A$40 (€20). You can also take a train from the Airport to Bondi Junction from where it is a short bus ride to the beach. Buses stop 50m from the apartment.
If you come to Sydney by ship or train you arrive in the city centre. The city centre is 20 minutes by bus or train or 10 minutes by car or taxi. Buses (no 380) run every 5-30 minutes 24 hours a day between Circular Quay and the CBD to Bondi Beach.
If you are driving simply follow signs to the Eastern Suburbs and Bondi Beach. Secure underground parking is available for A$10 /day. Parking on the street is metered with a 2 hour limit.
Bondi Beach gives the accessibility of Sydney with the world famous beach outside your door.
