A lovely beach house on Sydneys Northern Beaches. We have 2 daughters (2 and 6), so there are lots of kids toys and books. The home is at the top of a hill and equal distance from the ocean (to the East) and the more secluded Pittwater (West).

Upstairs is filled with natural light with an open plan kitchen, dining, lounge room & balcony. Off this room is a bedroom with a double pull out sofa bed and flat screen TV. Upstairs is also the childrens room (currently with a single bed and cot). This room overlooks the backyard and swimming pool. There is a bathroom with a bath and shower and seperate toilet. On the upstairs verandah is also an outside bath. Beautiful for soaking in and watching the sunset! Downstairs is an open plan rumpus and bedroom with a king sized bed. There is also a study/bedroom and a laundry and toilet/shower.

In the front yard is a circular driveway with room for 4 or 5 cars and a garage with bikes.

The property is best utilised with a car, unless you don't mind the long walk uphill from the bus top! (L90 buses from the city stop at Avalon and it is a 5-10 minute walk downhill to the stop from the house and a 20-30 minute walk uphill). However there is a group of shops at Bilgola Plateau, 5 minutes walk from the house with an organic Deli, bottle shop, small store and cafe.

Sydney CBD is a 1 hour drive away. The beautiful beaches of Bilgola & Avalon are both a kilometre or so away with great surf and rockpools. The last two of Sydneys' Northern Beaches (Whale Beach & the famous "Home & Away" Palm Beach are a 5 - 10 minute drive away). There a gold courses at Avalon and Mona Vale. Avalon Village is just down the hill and has a great vibe with an old fashioned cinema, bookshop, clothes shops, deli's, supermarket, library, parks etc. Ferries can be caught from Palm Beach wharf on Pittwater and there are many great places to explore. A great spot for bushwalking, fishing, cycling, boating & shopping.

This would best suit a family. Although it is only available in Winter, there are many great outdoor things for families to do - please contact me for more information!

The New South Wales region

Bilgola is in The Northern Beaches of Sydney. 1 hours drive or bus north from the CBD of Sydney, it has a mild climate with beautiful unspoilt beaches, a surf culture, boating paradise, bohemian villages and breathtaking scenery. Home of the famous TV show "Home and Away" at Palm Beach. The Northern Beaches are possibly the most relaxed area of Sydney with much of the natural bushland preserved.

Sydney

Bilgola Plateau is a ridge high above the ocean (to the east) and Pittwater (to the west). The area itself is an isthmus, ending at Palm Beach (a walk up to the Palm Beach lighthouse ensures a great view of the area). 5 minutes from the property is "The Angophra Reserve", a beautiful area of bushland with many Angophra trees (the largest trees on the East side of Australia). Which can also be viewed from the front balcony. Morning sees cockatoos fly overhead in abundance whilst the sun rises from the ocean and evenings bring wonderful vistas of the stars, and if the time is right, a full moon rising from the sea.

Bilgola Plateau shops are a five minute walk away and Avalon Village is a 10 minute walk down the hill. Both Bilgola and Avalon beach are a 10 - 15 minute walk (although it may take longer coming up the steep hill!)

A beautiful area that makes you feel at one with nature.
