The luxury Chalet Barnard is a very large chalet (360 m2) located next to the centre of the charming resort of Champery. 650 km of ski slopes at your doorstep, which turns into biking trails in the summer. Activities, tradition and comfort are awaiting for you!

This lovely free standing chalet is located just 200m from the centre of Champery and has wonderful views over the resort and the Dents du Midi. The chalet is built on 4 floors and has 6 bedrooms. The chalet has been completely refurbished with luxury and traditional furnitures. The chalet has Wifi internet.

Ground floor: 1 triple bedroom made of 3 single beds, 1 shower room and a games room equipped with plasma TV, DVD player, new generation video games and fully equipped kitchen. Jacuzzi for 6 people on the balcony (only open in the winter).

1st Floor:Large lounge with fireplace and Plasma TV, DVD player and surround system, cable with over 36 channels, dining area for 12 people, fully equipped kitchen (oven and hobs, microwave, fridge, freezer, separate WC. There is a large terrace (partly covered) with garden furniture for 12 people, a barbecue and a balcony all around the property.

2nd Floor: 1 twin bedroom, 1 double bedroom, 1 master en suite bedroom, 1 bathroom.

3rd Floor: 1 twin bedroom, 1 single bedroom, 1 bathroom.

The Swiss Portes du Soleil / Champery area

The village Champéry (Valais) is situated on 1050 meters / 3445 feet on the feet of the Dents du Midi and the Dents Blanches. Champéry is one of the oldest tourist destinations in Switzerland. The history goes back to 1857. In this year the first hotel "L'hôtel de la Dent-du-Midi" opened.

Today you can still admire the well preserved, traditional architecture of the village. Along the main street you will find many chalets with carved balconies and the "toits en sifflet", the traditional roofs. This street charms its visitors with the small shops, bars, terraces and restaurants.

There are many events during the summer in Champéry, to show the love to the traditions and handicraft. The visitors are invited to see the local dances shown by the local club on different events. Discover also the 800km / 497miles of marked paths for all enthusiasts of walks and mountain bike.

During the winter the cable car Champéry - Planachaux and the modern chairlift Grand-Paradis take you in less than 5 minutes directly into the Portes du Soleil. The Portes du Soleil are the largest internationally linked ski area of the world. Over 650km / 400miles of pistes make the skiers' and boarders' hearts beat faster. Moreover the Pas de Chavanette, which is also called the "Swiss Wall" is one of the most impressive slopes of the world.

Last but not least of course the Palladium of Champéry. The large panel of infrastructure includes seminar and conference rooms, hotel with 80 beds, multi-purpose hall with stage, expositions and congress rooms, tennis courts, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, ice skating rink, curling hall and fitness area.
