It backs onto a meadow so the spring mountain flowers and summer pastures are visible from your bedroom window, the patio and balcony. The chalet also features a wood-burning fire, central heating, cable TV, and hi-speed internet. Spread over 3 floors, total 220sqm, offering a traditional cosy chalet atmosphere. The whole property is comfortably furnished, with many new compatible fittings, imaginative interior design. and spacious living areas.
Ski lifts are close, magnificent mountain walks are on the doorstep, and the village is either a pleasant 10 mins walk along a raquet track or along a winding side road amongst the chalets. Skating, horse riding, mountain biking and rock climbing are all available in a totally peaceful traditionally Swiss rural environment.
In the summer a chair lift is open with a special attachment for bikes, meaning you can take the chair up, and whizz down, or follow the very extensive mountain bike trails.

Morgins is a picturesque Swiss village in one of the biggest ski areas of 650kms piste (Portes du Soleil) 12 linked resorts include Chatel, Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets.
Within easy reach of the village is Château d'Oex, Gstaad, the castle at Aigle with a unique wine museum, and on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Château de Chillon at Montreux, the Olympic museum in Lausanne, several all year water parks and many thermal swimming pools (water is 34 degrees).
Swiss Portes du Soleil / Morgins area
Morgins nestles in Switzerland between Chatel and Avoriaz. Its North facing slopes are usually the first to open within the Portes du Soleil, and one of the last to close.
Morgins caters well for kids with a toboggan & nursery slopes in the village centre with progressive kids slopes at the top of the village. There is a jardin d’enfants, & garderie for children over the age of 2 mths. Other facilities include snow walking, from the door ski du fond and ice skating.
The nearest Hot thermal swimming pools (water is 34 degrees) are a 10 min drive away with many more within 30 minutes.
Morgins often features as a finish on the Tour du Romande cycle race.
How to get there
Getting to Morgin is easy and convenient as it is 80 kms from Geneva airport, and can be reached either via the motorway via Lausanne (120kms) in about an hour and a quarter, or via Thonon 80 kms and about the same time. It takes just 75 minutes to reach the chalet from Geneva airport. Montreux is just 30 minutes away, Lausanne is 45 minutes. Geneva airport which is served by Easyjet, British Airways, Swiss, BMI-Baby, Flyglobespan, Jet2 and Flybe flys to over 20 UK destinations.

Further details indoors: Large spacious chalet of 220m2. There are five bedrooms, 3 with double beds, 1 with 2 bunk beds (sleeps 4) and 1 with twin single beds. Two of the bedrooms connect to a balcony with spectacular views over the village and the mountains.
The chalet comprises large open plan lounge with seating round an open fire. Fully equipped spacious kitchen.
A TV room with international TV is on the top floor. 3 metre dining table seats 12+. Chalet has 2 bathrooms (baths/shower and toilet) and a 3rd toilet Mostly refurbished in Feb '07.
Further details outdoors: A 10 minute walk from the ski lifts & to the centre of the village where there are supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Garage/parking for 4 cars. In summer the private road (ski path) opens and a further 3 cars can be parked here. The garden can be formed into an excellent mini toboggan run for the youngest members of the party and there is a swing set for the summer.

Comprehensive holiday travel insurance including cancellation cover is strongly advised for all guests.
Minimum one week rental, but flexible on start/finish days outside ski season. 10% discount offered for 2nd and 3rd concurrent weeks. A 20% deposit is requested to secure a firm booking with final payment due 8 weeks before arrival. A security deposit of is required and held against any damage and breakages etc. There is no charge for internet access, heating, electricity.
Payment terms - UK Sterling, Euro or Swiss Franc cheques or transfer direct to relevant accounts.
All rental rates include broadband internet access, heating, electricity, gas charges. A SFr 300 charge will be made for final professional cleaning of the chalet.
There is a small charge for laundry of linen.
Swiss Tourist tax is payable to the local agent on arrival - (SFr 2.80 per day for adults, SFr 1.70 per day for ages 7-16, over 60 and under 7 years no charge) and entitles visitors to a generous discount on numerous sporting facilities in the local area including ski passes and lifts.
