About this location
Southern Wales region
Mawr is the least populated and yet one of the largest wards in the Swansea area. It boasts Swansea's highest point and the "Gower of the Hills" offers fantastic views and miles of open countryside.
Craigcefnparc is an ex mining village and the site of the private mines have given way to the Cwm Clydach RSPB Nature Reserve with it's rambling river and miles of scenic walks.
Whilst rural, you are rarely more than 15 minutes from the M4 and main tourist routes.
Swansea is the perfect choice for those looking for the best of everything! Mountains, beaches, City, shopping, entertainment, in fact, everything...within a few miles.
For those wishing to explore, Cardiff, Brecon, the Gower, Mumbles, Tenby and Carmarthen are all within an hour or so.
