Beachcomber holiday apartments are situated 100 metres from beautiful sandy beach of Swanage.
A selection of one and two bed apartments. Recently redecorated with new carpets and furniture.
Off road parking. Bedlinen and towels are supplied without charge.
Great location with parks offering putting, bowls, childrens play area. There is a cafe/restaurant on the beach offering afternoon teas, snacks, and fully licensed restaurant, and a great pub with food within a minutes walk. The town with its shops and steam train railway are 5 minutes walk along the beach.
The South West Coast path runs past our front door.
The seaside town of Swanage offers a wide range of pubs, restaurants and cafes to suit all budgets and tastes.
There are several festivals a year including the carnival, jazz weekends, folk festival, Blues weekends, Film festivals and Purbeck Arts Week. The area is also famous for its connections to Enid Blytons famous five stories which are based in the area.

Most of Purbeck lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty as well as being part of England's only natural World Heritage Site, designated for its outstanding geological interest.
With sandy beaches such as Studland and Swanage and rocky coves such as Lulworth and Kimmeridge, it's a perfect place for the whole family to enjoy the mild climate.
Swanage has many local attractions but if you prefer to explore there are also a number of days out on the doorstep. Travel on the chain ferry to Poole or explore the islands of the harbour stopping off at Brownsea Island the home of the scouting movement or the protected birds at Arne. The seaside town of Bournemouth is only an open topped bus ride away.

We are always pleased to know that guests would like to return to stay here.
So sorry that there were some cleaning issues with the kitchen. These points could have been remedied had we known. There is normally a waste bin in the bathroom.
Andy and myself are always happy to meet guests and ask if everything is okay. We did meet the guests during their stay but unfortunately nothing was mentioned. If there is anything that we can do then this is not a problem.
The booking form was emailed but no reply received.
The keys are put into the keysafe 3 o'clock onwards on the day of arrival. The apartments are always ready for that time.
Apartment 1 has a washing machine, the other apartments do not. There is a fantastic service wash in Swanage for the apartments without a washing machine.

We do provide great accommodation with parking and 100 metres to the beach.
We don't provide cleaning products or food. If we did then we would obviously have to add this to our price structure and indeed increase the price to guests. We do provide a roll of toilet paper for when guests arrive.
The guests were from Germany where food and cleaning products are maybe supplied?
We did meet guests on their first day here to give them the extra bedding. They were very happy with the apartment.

We are very proud of the apartments and Swanage itself. We took the apartments over a year ago and they were in a very poor condition! All the hardwork of renovating the apartments has paid off this summer, we have had some wonderful reviews.
It is always good to see a young family really enjoying their stay here. A great 'feel good' factor. Although we run this as a business, seeing people having such a good time is always a bonus.

Nice flat, lot of stairs. We enjoyed our stay, nice size for two; the kitchen is small, calling it a galley is being generous. Everything worked and the flat was clean and tidy. The shower could have a bit more water flow. The flat needs access to some sort of cloths drying facilities. The location is a couple of minutes from the beach and five/ten minutes to Swanage town center. There is a fair/average pub 50 yards up the road, the Grand and Pines Hotels are five'ish minutes' walk.
Carol and Andrew are very helpful and knowledgeable, about the local area. We are going back
Many thanks for your review. We have 2 x 2 bed apartments, 2 x 1 bed apartments and a double room. All the apartments are different sizes some with large kitchens and one apartment has enough room for a kitchen table and a dining table and three sofas. This apartment has the smallest kitchen although perfectly functional. There is another 1 bed apartment which has a kitchen at least 4 times as big as this one, but this doesn't have a sea view. This guest has requested this apartment for two weeks next year and prefers the apartment with the smaller kitchen as it has a sea view.
We would like to create access to as small garden next year so that there is room to dry clothes/towels outside.
This apartment is on the 2nd floor but there are other apartments on the ground and first floors.
We do have an amazing location - 100 metres to the beach and off road parking. Within 2 mins walk there is a wonderful restaurant/bar/tapas bar on the beach serving snacks, drinks, afternoon tea, meals in a fabulous setting. The Crows Nest pub also serves great pub food with a lovely garden.

We were also pleased to hear that you had such a great time staying with us. It's always good to hear people appreciate all the hard work that has gone into decorating the apartments. All have been redecorated and most have new carpets and furniture.
So sorry to hear your negative points. We did ask you to let us know when would be a convenient time to repair the curtain pole, but you didn't get back to us. It is now repaired. (I should say that we were only aware that morning that the previous guest had broken it). The kitchen floor and fridge are new but the kitchen itself is old - but clean, and was cleaned that morning. It would have been good to know at the time that there was a problem.
We have bins in the apartment - two - kitchen and bathroom. There are mirrors in the back bedroom and the bathroom. If ever there is a situation where any crockery is missing or broken it can be replaced very easily and was in this situation literally within 2 minutes - it isn't a problem. Sometimes guests break crockery and don't tell us.
We are very proud of the apartments and like to maintain them to a good standard.

"Fabulous and beyond expectations!"
We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 children, 4 and 15)and have just returned from a last minute 4 night break at the Beachcomber. We spent our stay in the 1 bedroom apartment at the very top of the house. The children shared a sofa bed in the longe area, with no problem. The view of the beach was lovely and the apartment was beautifully clean. The kitchen area was small but adequate with an oven, microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle and a breakfast bar. We only used it for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised and loved the simple crisp clean decor. The bathroom was large with a shower, sink and loo, also room for a wardrobe and linen basket and airer for drying bits and pieces from a day on the beach. The owner Carol was really lovely..keeping in touch during our journey down there and waiting for us on arrival. Our whole experience was great from start to finish. Our only slightly negative point was the shower which gave an unpleasant needle like, experience, but this may be personal preference. ? Our little one cried and so the following nights we washed her with a jug and bowl, problem solved :) Hoping to persuade my parents to return with us next year!
