A light and airy victorian town house with modern decor only 2 mins walk from a clean sandy beach and next to the south west coast path this holiday home is ideal for 2 families/large families ,4 couples or groups. With a large enclosed sunny terrace and lounge with open fire it suits all seasons.

It has 4 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen/diner seating 10, comfortable lounge ,utility room and large entrance hall for buckets/spades and walking boots, this is a real holiday house. Beach bars, water sports, indoor gym,restaurants and a pub are all a few minutes walk and 1/2 a mile along the beach brings you to Swanage town centre.

The house is on 3 floors.There is a large entrance hall off which is a kitchen/diner seating 10 with french doors to the terrace garden.The lounge has an open fire and 32" TV with freeview and a DVD player. The utility has a washing machine, tumble dryer and second fridge. Wifi access and iPod player.

On the first floor is the master bedroom with kingsize bed and ensuite shower room, the second bedroom with twin beds and a family bathroom with corner bath. On the top floor are 2 further twin bedded room, one with a sink, the other with a shower ensuite. All the twin beds can be pushed together for couples who prefer 'doubles'.The bedrooms are all spacious and 3 can accommodate an extra mattress on the floor if necessary.

In one of the sunniest,warmest climates in the UK , edging a long sandy horse- shoe bay,gateway to a world heritage site and jurassic coast you find the seaside resort of swanage. And only 2 1/2hours from London.

For holiday makers there is the sandy beach( blueflag),water sports ,Punch and Judy and crabbing, the Carnival and Regatta week in late July,lots of boat trips from the pier to Brownsea Island ,Isle of Wight and mackeral fishing to name a few.

The Swanage / Swanage Bay area

Or take the open top bus across the ferry to Bournmouth or the steam railway in swanage to Corfe Castle for a great day out.

Just a few miles from swanage there is horseriding and boat hire on the 3 miles of sandy beach at Studland.Or try fossil hunting at Kimmeridge Bay ,Monkey world at Wareham and the Tank Museum at Bovington.

For walkers there is the south coastal footpath with miles of stunning scenery and great pubs.Walk straight from the house up to Ballard Down and either down to Harrys Rocks or along the ridge to Corfe Castle, taking in the views of Poole Harbour.Or walk along the beach through the town and up to Durlston Castle then along the cliffs of the Jurassic coast.

“Lovely home - lovely location!” We had a fantastic weekend at the White House. The house is very spacious with great high ceilings and calm, neutral decor. Fantastically comfy couches with log fire, huge kitchen table to spend hours eating around, and large bedrooms with plenty of storage. The house just has a great feel to it, and is only a few minutes walk to the beach and on into Swanage. Sian is a fantastic host, even leaving out a bottle of wine for us upon our arrival! Would highly recommend.

“great house and brilliant location for beach/walking holidays” I have stayed at the White House twice, once on a tennis/walking holiday and this September with the whole family, grandparents and grandchildren. Both worked really well. The bedrooms are light and spacious with really comfortable beds. The walls are so thick I wasn't disturbed by the rest of the family. The kitchen is very sociable with a large table and window seat. We spent most of our evenings there. I loved getting up and having an early morning walk along the beach-it's close. My sister can't walk very far so this was ideal. We did other beautiful walks from the doorstep. The house and its location are both great and I will definitely be going back.

“Perfect place for a seaside get together” I stayed at the White House last summer with a group of friends. After an early morning stroll along an almost deserted beach, we played tennis on the local courts each day, then went walking in the afternoon. Swanage has something for everyone - lovely sandy beaches, a variety of walks to suit all abilities, shops and restaurants. There is a well stocked corner shop just 5 minutes walk from the house, and access to the beach is via either a steepish path or a more gentle route along the pavement - both only take a few minutes. Would recommend the Ocean Bay bar and restaurant. Lovely to sit outside for coffee or lunch, and also very nice for dinner in the evening, and only a short stroll back home! The house has a really nice welcoming feel to it, and has everything you need. When we were there the kitchen was a bit run down, but I see from the photos that it has been updated - looks lovely! The bathrooms are a little old fashioned, but work perfectly well. Overall, a super place to stay, feels like home from the minute you arrive. Looking forward to going back.
