About the home

An attractive cottage full of character,situated in the oldest part of Swanage,just 5 mins fromthe town centre, beach and Steam Raltway. The house is newly rufurbished and is decorated to a high standard, It has a cosy lounge,dining room both with coal gas fires.Separate kitchen with door leading to enclosed sunny garden.Upstairs there is bathroom/wc, double bedroom, twin bedroom,and bedroom wth built in bunk beds.
Steep staircase top floor (behind lockable door!) chill out room.kids love disappearing up here to escape and hang out.Has Sea views.
Separate WC.
Swanage is an old fashioned seaside town with a Blue flag safe sandy beaches. A good mix of interesting shops and Galleries. Plenty of cafes,pubs and restuarants to choose from. A steam railway to Corfe Castle runs from the centre of the town.Take the footpaths from house to Dulston Castle and Country Park. National Nature Reserve at the end of the road. Local attractions include Studland Bay and other National Trust Beaches. Brownsea Island, Monkey World,The Tank Museum,The Blue Pool,Fossiling and rock pooling at Kimmeridge, Exploring the fabulous Jurassic Coast. Lulworth Cove and castle,Durdle Door, the Lost village of Tyneham.

Conditions

A deposit of 25% of rental required ,reservations are confirmed upon receipt.
We will also require breakages deposit of £100, which will be returned after property inspection.( within 2 weeks)
Rentals are Friday after 4pm to Friday 10am
Short breaks are minimum of 3 nights.

“Fantastic house.” This house is lovely and well equipped. The owners could not have been anymore helpful. The children loved the room on the top floor. We would definitely stay here again.

“A great getaway not too far away !!” "Weekend February 24th to 26th" and October 5/6/7th stayed in this lovely cottage which was tastefully and beautifully decorated with every attention to detail, like 'home from home'. Superbly located within a short stroll into the town, lovely walks along the seafront and plenty of restaurants to sit and have a coffee by the sea. An excellent pub is nearby which has really good food and a mini market just a few minutes walk away. Exceptionally clean with wonderful bedding, warm and very comfortable (slept like a log !), secret staircase to the top floor perfect for chilling. The weather was very kind to us indeed which made it even better. Went back again in October to the Blue Festival, still as wonderful as every and we had a fabulous time seeing some great bands. Booked to go back again next March.

“A treat!” Had a great weekend here. House is lovely and with everything you need, even for days out to beach.There was lots of beach equipment in the shed, including fishing rods which the boys loved. Garden is small, but has comfy seating and really catches the sun. Our favourite bit was probably the den at the top of the house, great for older children. There is a good pub on the corner and it's a nice stroll into town. Great walks from the house. A well stocked shop nearby......perfect!

“This holiday cottage surpasses by far on every level.” Perfectly situated in an ideal location,appealing to all ages. Swanage is an idealic traditional sea side town with so much to offer. The holiday cottage is just one big WOW! One books a holiday with trepidation of how the accommodation will fair - not very often is one completely blown away and this delighted the moment you walk in! This cottage is not only a beautifully decorated and immaculate abode it is cosy, comfortable and welcoming. Every detail has been considered to make you stay perfect, I can not recommend this property enough!! Enjoy your holiday!!

“Delightful well equiped cottage” This was a delightful well equiped cottage. It was tastefully decorated to a very high standard and was very comfortable. Conveniently located close to the beach and all other amenities. The cottage owner was very helpful and provided a lot of useful information.

“AMAZING LITTLE COTTAGE IN A BEAUTIFUL PART OF THE WORLD.” Visited 4 Townsend Road for a week, with three friends, for six days of unrestricted watercolour painting. The cottage was deceptively spacious and beautifully decorated with everything provided. The little patio at the back of the house was ideal for our painting with again, everything we needed. We sat on the patio in the late afternoons, with out wine and nibbles and painted until the light faded then visited Swanage for a lovely meal of fresh fish! Cannot recommend it highly enough. A wonderful, relaxing week!

“Fantastic house in great location” A very comfortable and welcoming property, furnished to a high standard with many thoughtful little touches. After using many previous holiday rentals, this is definately the best so far. The property is in a great location for day trips out by car or a walk into town for a day on the beach (clean and sandy) or an evening meal, a well stocked shop is located just a minutes walk away, which is also very handy! Swanage is a nice traditional seaside town with good small shops, cafes and places to eat. Definately recommend this property.

“Beautifully presented cottage near all the amenities - attention to detail” This cottage surpasses any holiday let that I have ever stayed at. It was like being in a luxury, boutique hotel and at such reasonably prices. Every little detail was catered for and the owners have clearly thought about what guests would need/like during their stay., even providing a welcome pack on our arrival. The cottage was full of character and the nautical theme throughout made the whole place flow. Bedrooms were extremely comfortable and myself and 5 other girlfriends had a great time. The cottage is also within easy walking distance of all the amenities. I will definitely be booking again!
