About the home

Millpond Cottage is a traditional Purbeck stone cottage dating back to the early 18th century. It is set beside the tranquil Millpond in the heart of Swanage. It offers delightful accommodation for up to 7 people. It is a five minute walk to the town centre and beach.

Millpond Cottage offers excellent accommodation over two floors, there are two reception rooms and a well equipped new kitchen diner which leads into the garden with views over the Millpond. On the first floor there are three bedrooms, two doubles with one ensuite and a twin room, all bedrooms have Millpond views. There is a family bathroom on this floor.

There is a modern comfortable sofa-bed in the second reception room if and extra bed is required. There is a second separate downstairs toilet.

The West Country / Dorset region

Swanage boast some of the highest temperatures and longest hours of sunshine in the country.

The Jurassic coastline is the first natural World Heritage designated site in the United Kingdom with beautiful sandy beaches and wonderful wildlife.

The are many nearby attractions which include Durlston Country Park, Studland beach and nature reserve, The Blue Pool, Swanage Steam Railway, Bovington Tank Museum and Monkey World
Bournemouth. Poole and Dorchester are all within a half hour drive.

The Swanage / Swanage Bay area

Swanage boasts a wealth of exciting events including the fantastic yearly Jazz festival. Then you can have some more fun at Carnival week, the fun and enjoyment is not finished yet because there is the amazing Blues festival that will take your breath away with the best Blues artists around.

Not very far away you can go and play some golf or even tennis if you prefer. Also you can enjoy water-sports, fishing and horse-riding.

“Absolutely wonderful cottage” Alison's cottage is wonderful home from home, lovely location,lovely feel about the cottage and the ducks in the garden the grandaughters and the rest of the family loved it all, I cant rate this cottage high enough, I have been holidaying in Swanage for the last 40 years with my children and grandchildren so to get the opportunity to stay at the cottage that I have many photos of with the ducks and children over the years was fabulous..Thank you for a very warm welcolme to your holiday cottage Alison !! x

“Fab!” Excellent cottage in lovely pretty setting just 5 minutes walk from the town/beach. Really comfortable and a standard of fittings. Would highly recommend.
