Comfortable fresh blockhouse located in the middle of unspoiled countryside of the Oviken-mountains (Oviksfjäll) in the swedish county of Jämtland. The self-catering log cabin is equipped with 2 separate bedrooms (double bed/bunk bed) for up to 6 persons, living room with fire place/armchairs/underfloor heating, kitchen, spacious bathroom with shower/toilet/underfloor heating and sauna.

This rustic nordic blockhouse is situated at Galå Fjällgård Wilderness lodge and part of four rental object with identical standard.

The surrounding nature is characterized by swedish mountain "fjäll" and lively rivers as well as nordic oldgrowth forest and highmoors. Year-round, reindeers stop by regularly and sometimes you can see moose or other wild nordic animals.

We offer families, nature lovers as well as outdoor-interested people the right environment for an exciting vacation in Sweden. Experience a unique silence and try activities like hiking, fishing or just enjoying a campfire. We can offer marked hiking trails for shorter or longer day-trips. Local expertise will support you with suggestions for activities.

Wintertime, the cabin is surrounded be snow from november until easter. The cabin has access to cross-country skiing tracks, snowshoe trails and official snowmobile tracks.

There is possibility to rent cross-country skiing equipment or snoshoes.

The Norrland/Lapland region

The Jämtland County is characterized by its fantastic mountains (the "Jämtlandsfjällen"), streaming waters, large meadows, deep old forests and endless views. The region stretches from the norwegian border in the west to landmarks like the lake "Storsjö" and the city of Östersund in the east. In the south, the area around national park Sonfjället and village Hede is included. The most popular outdoor activities are hiking and fishing and Jämtland is very well-know by all sorts of travellers seeking the special feeling during the best time of the year.


The lodge is situated in the region of the Oviken-Mountains as a part of the long Jämtland mountain chain ("Jämtlandsfjäll"), which is famous for it various hiking tracks and fishing lakes and rivers.

Guests coming to the mountain lodge are seeking for the untouched nature, the tranquility long away from urbanization and the various possibilities for outdoor activities. The surrounding area of this log home is part of the reindeer grazing land. Reindeers are common guest nearby the lodge year-round.
