Nestled in a 13 acre country setting, consisting of lawns, a fishing lake, grazing sheep and woodland, the manor also offers the modern features of a jacuzzi, hot tub and sauna. The beautifully designed conservatory which looks across the terrace and pond towards the lake, is the perfect spot to enjoy a long and lazy lunch or supper with friends, family or colleagues.
As a private house, Surlingham Manor provides a versatile canvas for you to create your own memorable short break/holida; and the peace, tranquility and natural beauty of the area also appeals to individuals organising special group holidays, such as painting, cooking, fishing, spa retreats and yoga.
You can choose to be master of your own time or take advantage of our personal events co-ordinator who will manage anything from a private dinner with butler service to a special spa wknd.

The East Anglia / Norfolk region
A visit to Norfolk offers a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of busy Britain. Around every corner you will find pretty villages and historic churches, miles and miles of unspoilt beaches, countryside and rivers teeming with wildlife and relaxed towns and a city with wonderful shops and tempting cafes. Combine all of this with an exciting selection of things to do and a range of entertainment to suit all ages and you have Norfolk in a nutshell.
The village of Surlingham can be found on the south bank of the River Yare between Bramerton and Rockland St Mary and is within a short drive of Norwich, where historic visitor attractions, restaurants and an eclectic mix of shopping are just the beginning.
Surlingham Broad sits in the south part of the Broads, south of a bend in the River Yare near Brundall, about five miles east of Norwich.
The Norfolk and Suffolk Broads is Britain's largest protected wetland and third largest inland waterway, with the status of a national park. It is a fascinating area with a rich history, reflected in the many wonderful places to visit and the unique wildlife. There are restored windmills, medieval churches, beautiful gardens and great places for family visits. If you enjoy walking or cycling, there are also many routes to choose from.
For many people, a great way to explore the Broads is by water, as much of the history of the Broads revolves around the way the rivers have been used over the years. For many, the charm of the Broads rests on the illusion of remoteness you get when you're on the water. You can be near a village without knowing that there is anybody or anything for miles around. So, whatever you do, try to get afloat and you will find much to surprise and delight you.
Surlingham area
Surlingham is a tiny village offering peace and tranquility within an easy taxi ride or drive to Norwich where entertainment in the form of arts, theatre, eating, drinking, history, shopping, cinema and entertainment are plentiful. Or why not opt for a quiet night in the village pub or supper in your very own manor house, overlooking a lit terrace towards lake and woodland.
How to get there
Surlingham Manor is situated in the tiny village of Surlingham in Norfolk. It is easily accessible by car and by train and is a short taxi ride from Norwich Rail Station. The main roads linking Surlingham to London are the A11/M11. If you are travelling from Norwich Airport, the property is just a 20 minute drive.
