Home description
Summer Dreams is a gated, holiday complex, surrounding a large, shared pool and a separate children's' pool. It is set back from the road and ideal for families. There is a pool bar and an on-site restaurant and small supermarket. It is near to the centre of Sunny Beach and within easy reach of the historic island of Old Nessebar. It is about 300m/ 10 mins. from the long, curving beach of soft, white sand for sunbathing, with a gently sloping seashore, ideal for bathing and children's play.
The accommodation consists of a spacious, fully self-contained apartment (110 sq.m.) on the 4th floor, accessible by lift as well as stairs and sleeps 6 adults comfortably. There are air-conditioners in the lounge/kitchen and both bedrooms. The lounge balcony overlooks the swimming pool and is ideal for breakfast in the morning sun, whilst the other two balconies catch the afternoon and evening sun. At present, the apartment also overlooks a lightly wooded area to one side of the complex.
Historic Old Nesseber, with its picturesque wooden buildings, is within easy reach as are the many attractions for dining, shopping, watersports, aqua parks and clubs and bars.

The Black Sea Coast region
The Bulgarian Black Sea holiday coast stretches from beyond Varna in the north, to the Turkish border in the south. It has long been a popular holiday area. The old fishing villages and ports of Nessebar, Pomoria and Sozopol with cobbled streets, wooden houses and old, historic churches and forts tell of a history stretching back to Greek and Roman times. Even further back to the 9thC BC, the Thracians lived and traded here and some well preserved tombs can be found in the north of Bulgaria.
These old villages and others on the coastline have now developed into bustling holiday resorts of which Sunny Beach is the most well known. It is well established, having been used by Bulgarians for decades and then Russians, Rumanians and other Eastern Europeans and now by English, German and Nordic holidaymakers.
Sunny Beach lies in a wide sweeping bay stretching for over 6 km from Nesseber round to Elenite. With a gently sloping beach of soft, golden sands and sand dunes and safe bathing it is ideal for family beach holidays. From May to September the temperatures are high with an average of around 27C.

Historic Old Nesseber, with its picturesque wooden buildings, is within easy reach as are the many attractions for dining, shopping, watersports, aqua parks and clubs and bars.
There are numerous cafes, shops and restaurants and most are inexpensive by UK standards. It is possible to eat out for as little as £5 a head for a salad, main course and drink and even meals in good restaurants with three or four courses and wine often work out less than £20 a person. For those who like self-catering there are supermarkets and fresh fruit and vegetable stalls. It is possible to hire water-jet-skis and there are water para-gliders to try. There are several 'Waterworlds' or 'Aquaparks' for children, in and around Sunny Beach, some of which run their own free bus services there and back. In the evenings there are plenty of bars, clubs and nightspots. There are many firms offering coach trips (e.g. a w/e in Istanbul), boat trips and adventure days out. Jeep safaris, scuba diving, horse riding, water skiing, wind surfing and other amusments are available, as are spa facilities in some hotels.
Old Nesseber is very close to Sunny Beach, and is listed as a UN Cultural Heritage site, with many old buildings and churches and many interesting shops. There is a museum but the art galleries do not usually house collections, but are for the sale of pictures.
How to get there
The easiest way is to fly to Bourgas Airport. Many airlines fly there during the summer season (May to October) e.g. WizzAir. Several charter airlines fly into Bourgas from May to October and flight only deals can be obtained on the tour operators websites ie. Thomson, Balkan, Thomas Cook and First Choice.The internet is a good source of budget fares. Guests (up to 6 persons) can be met at the airport and taken back again at the end of their holiday for a small additional charge. Transfers to and from Bourgas Railway Station can also be arranged.
Varna airport is about 80 kms away and takes 1.5 to 2.5 hours by road, depending upon time of day and traffic. There are taxis from the airport and local buses to Sunny Beach.A quotation can be provided for transfers from Varna to Sunny Beach. It is much easier, however, to fly to Bourgas.

Further details indoors: This is a lovely bright and airy apartment, entered by a wide hallway with rooms leading off. The main bathroom has a shower, a wc and wash basin, whilst the en-suite has a bath, wc and wash basin. A cot is provided. There is a sunbed on each of the two bedroom balconies and patio furniture for the pool balcony. Each bedroom has an air conditioner allowing comfortable sleeping, a dressing table with mirror and a wardrobe. For safety, smoke alarms are fitted in the bedrooms and lounge/dining room, with a fireblanket and extinguisher in the kitchen. A small safe deposit box is fitted in one wardrobe.
Further details outdoors: Summer Dreams is enclosed, with gates and 24 hr security staff. The complex has internet accesss and a small bar billiards table. The swimming pool is a large one and is a feature of the complex. A restaurant overlooks the pool and you can enjoy your drink at the pool bar from the poolside or on one of the stools built into the pool itself.

Pets are not allowed and there is no smoking in the property. Guests are welcome to smoke on the balcony. £100 deposit required at time of booking. Balance required one month prior to holiday. A breakages deposit of £75 is required at the time of the final payment. This is refundable within one week of departure. Being met and transported to the Summer Dreams complex and back to Bourgas Airport at the end of your holiday can be arranged for up to six adults at a small additional cost. A small welcome pack is provided.
