The Black Sea Coast region
The climate around the black sea coast is very good with temperatures usually around the 80s Places of interest include Bourgas,Elenete, Promorie, Varna, and the unforgettable Nessebur all of which are only a bus ride away. The most local place to visit is Nessebur which has a history dating back some 2,500 years. The town houses the remains of 40 churches from different periods of history The narrow cobbled streets and gabled houses make Nessebur an ideal place to visit
Sunny Beach / Sunny Beach Main Resort area
Sunny beach is a bustling place in the summer with over 150 places to eat including a wide range of cuisine and anything from taverns to restaurants. The night life is varied and for those interested in partying, includes night clubs, bars, discos and casinos. If you like to keep busy there are many water and land-based activities nearby, including waterskiing, sailing, windsurfing, the Aqua park (in the town), jet skiing, scuba diving, jeep safaris and horse riding to name but a few. For the sight-seer, Nessebar, just a few miles down the coast, is a must. The 14th century church and houses on this rocky promontory make it a Unesco World Heritage Site.
There are several large shopping centres if you're after a little retail therapy, or if you fancy a spa, you'll also find it in Sunny Beach.
How to get there
Bourgas airport is 20 minutes from Sunny Beach. Varna airport is about 1.5 - 2 hours transfer depending on traffic. Flights start from £89 return and go to Varna all year and to Bourgas from March to October. (Try www.cheapflights.co.uk who fly from regional airports as well as the main ones) When you get there, taxis are cheap
