Sucina Villa is set on an exclusive tranquil residential complex adjoining a traditional Spanish village. The home has been stylishly furnished to a high standard with all necessary comforts including, Air Condiontioning and Heating (rarely required!), Satellite TV, DVD, CD Player, Microwave, Washing Machine, Cooler Box (for the beach/picnics), Bath Towels, Iron and Ironing Board, Hairdryer and a well stocked wine rack offering a complimentary bottle of wine to guests! The extremely large roof top solarium allows for full private sunbathing or relaxing. It is equipped with comfortable loungers and a shaded seating area with a large dining table and six chairs for those sunny evening BBQ's.
There is a large communal pool with a separate children's pool, tennis courts, bar restaurant, gym and beauty salon on the complex. The village has everything a family would need for a stay in this area, without the need to get in your car. There is a wonderful bakers/coffee shop that sells fresh bread, croissants and cakes, an English speaking chemist, three mini-markets, two of which are Spanish and the other is a 'SPAR,' and a number of traditional bars and restaurants that welcome all visitors, old and new.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region
Visit this unspoilt area of Spain with its sunny climate and welcoming locals. This region of Spain boasts several regional parks, ideal for walking, cycling and bird watching. For those golf enthusiasts, Murcia is becoming known as a premier golf destination with at least 7 excellent golf courses within easy reach of the villa. This includes the world famous La Manga resort which is within a 25 minute drive. The 300 days a year sunshine allows for golf to be played all year round and with over 30 golf courses in the Costa Blanca, Costa Calida and Costa Almeria Area, there is a lot to choose from!. This wonderful climate is also ideal for many other outdoor pursuits, including cycling and horse riding and numerous water sports, from pedlos to canoes and windsurfing are available at the local beaches.
This regions beaches are beautiful. In the high season, the 'hum' of the chatter of Spanish bathers can be heard across the coastlines . If you want to enjoying some of the cleanest blue flag beaches around, with wonderful fresh fish restaurants and tapas bars, a must is a visit to Santiago De La Ribera - a 15 drive from the villa. From here you can enjoy a leisurly boat trip to yet even more unspoilt beaches further down the coast line. Lo Pagan and Los Alcazares are also favourites of ours and have many 'hidden gems' of restaurants. The warm shallow waters of the Mar Menor, the largest salt water lagoon in Europe are a favourite for young families, due to it being 5 degrees hotter than the sea, so it is like taking a warm bath!
If you fancy a spot of shopping or sight seeing, the historic city of Cartagena, a naval port, is a 30 minute drive away, as is Murcia city that hosts many wonderful things to see and do. Murcia Cathedral is renowned as one of the finest in Spain. A water theme park is also available in Torrevieja, 20 minutes away or in the Benidorm area, approximately an hour's drive away.
Sucina Village area
Sucina is a typical Spanish village with a strong sense of community spirit. If you visit during festival time, you will be more than welcome to join in the local celebrations. The village has a beautiful church, Spanish bars and many restaurants, mini-markets, a florists, chemist, playground, school, clothes shop, newspaper shop and bakers/coffee shop. There is a small weekly market in Sucina and much larger markets in each of the surrounding towns.
How to get there
Sucina village lies in the historic region of Murcia in Costa Calida. There are two airports nearby: 1. Mucia (San Javier) airport is approx 15 minutes drive to the villa 2. Alicante airport is approximately 40 minutes drive to the villa
A large number of airlines offer inexpensive all year round flights, including Jet 2, Monarch, Ryanair, Easyjet, Thomsonfly, bmibaby, flybe, flyglobespan and mytravelite. Make sure you compare the cost of flights because there are MANY bargains to be had! Good value car hire is available at both of these airports, ( We always use either "Carjet" or "Victoria" but try others)!.

Further details indoors: LATE DEAL OFFER JULY TO SEPTEMBER 2009 If you want a home from home experience, then look no further. Guests have commented on the extensive facilities available within the villa and state that they have 'wanted for nothing'. The villa is only two years old and has been maintained to an excellent standard. Although it is unlikely you will be spending much time indoors, there is air conditioning (hot and cold), a ceiling fan if you prefer, a television with SKY TV and a DVD with a selection of DVDs available to watch. There is also a selection of books to read and a well stocked file detailing all the interesting activities and places to visit in the surrounding areas - there is something of interest for everyone!
If you plan on cooking, there is all the equipment you will require including a microwave, toasted sandwich maker, cooking utensils, etc and a BBQ on the roof solarium.
The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and furnished with fitted wardrobes, bedsides lamps, dressing table, mirror, stylish colour co-ordinated bedding and curtains and a hairdryer. There is a double bed in one bedroom and two single beds in the second bedroom with an additional 'pull out' bed, if required. A travel cot is also available if required. All the windows have shutters to ensure you can block out the sun and get a good nights sleep ready for another lazy (or active) day in beautiful Murcia.
Further details outdoors: There is a garden and drive to the front of the property with ample road or drive parking. The verranda offers a shady area with a table and two chairs to enjoy watching the world go by or to have a chat with passing neighbours and visitors. Our son has 'created' an interesting cactus section to the back of the property and plants a cactus each time we visit - it is enclosed so no risk of pricking any fingers, but is becoming quite a feature for the neighbours!
An outside staircase leads to an extremely spacious and large private rooftop solarium with lovely views of the surrounding area. It is sunny all day, so lots of sunbathing time. There is a lockable gate at the top of the staircase for those who have small children and a children's 'play house' up there which can be used by our young guests. There are three full loungers with cushions and a table and six cushioned chairs for al fresco dining. There are pools on the complex (which may have a small charge during high season) and numerous children's playgrounds. There is a very welcoming bar selling food and ice creams next to the pool. They also have regular BBQ's and evening entertainment in the high season. A beauty salon and gymnasium with a sauna and jacuzzi are also available on the complex.
Further details
A luxury or basic welcome pack is available, by prior arrangement. This is particularly useful if you are arriving late in the evening or want to surprise a loved one with champagne, chocolates, etc.
An english speaking representative is available to guests during your stay and will meet you at the villa with the keys.
Conditions
A refundable breakages deposit of £100 is required with the final payment, eight weeks prior to your stay. This will be refunded within two weeks of your departure from the villa, subject to a satisfactory property inspection.
There is strictly no smoking permitted within the villa. Guests are welcome to smoke on the outside verranda, garden or rooftop solarium.
