The Hebrides region
Eabost is a small village just outside Struan, halfway up the west coast of Skye looking out over Loch Bracadale, a sheltered sea loch leading out to the Atlantic Ocean. The capital, Portree, is 12 miles away over the hill road with its many shops, restaurants and supermarkets, Dunvegan is 7 miles away, with attractions such as Dunvegan Castle, seal boat trips, restaurants and shops. Struan has a village shop for essentials. The renowned Three Chimneys restaurant is a 20 minute drive.
For keen walkers the choice is endless... Close by is the beautiful walk out to Oronsay with lovely views over Loch Bracadale and a white sandy beach at low tide, Macleod's Tables are just up the coast as is Idrigill Point with the impressive sea stacks known as Macleod's Maidens. Glen Brittle is a beautiful drive down the coast with access to the mighty Cuillins, then beyond Portree is the Old Man of Storr and the Quirang.
For those wishing to fish, the River Snizort is 20 minutes away, or take your pick of mackerel fishing spots along the coast. Golfers should head for the Isle of Skye 9 hole golf course, one of the most scenic courses you will ever play on, about 30 minutes drive away opposite the Isle of Raasay.

"Perfect cottage in stunning location."
We were looking for a chance to get away and unwind for a week and this cottage on the west coast of Skye proved the perfect place. The photos on the website accurately show what you can expect; a lovely cottage set on its own with stunning views over Loch Bracadale. One of the best features of this property is the open-plan living area with huge windows along one wall allowing you to fully appreciate the uninterrupted sea view. The owners have equipped the cottage to a high standard and we found that we had everything we needed for our holiday. We definitely intend to return and would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.
