The VIEWS will take your breath away at this LUXURY Cotswolds stone cottage in the "Undiscovered Cotswolds", in an AONB. It always get a "WOW" from incoming guests-even better than the website suggests.
Hillcrest has been tastfully furnished with a contemporary twist and has all the facilities you would expect at a 5 * cottage and more. Our second cottage, Ambrose Cottage was named after our dog who previous guests met and fell in love with.
The cottage garden is lovely too and lights up and night infront of the beautiful sunsets across the valley and sparkly lights in the distance.
Excellent for walking, eating out, AWARD WINNING Farmers Market just 2 miles away and bring your golf clubs too and enjoy the challenge of the oldest golf course in Britain. Picnic at a polo,(traditional basket and chairs provided in the cottage) Learn to waterski on the lakes Balloon and glider lessons back over the cottage. Enjoy some equestrian events at Gatcombe Park 2 miles or Badminton 8miles,Cheltenham Gold Cup or take a hack or formal lesson at our great local stables. We have so many arty festivals you will be spoilt too. Visit the Spa at Bath ,only 35 mins by car. Enjoy some amazing gardens, the "Naked Gardener"at the Abbey House gardens and Westonbirt Arboretum.
There is so much going on locally you really can "live the area" without going more than a few minutes from the doorstep.

The success of Hillcrest led us to the fantastic renovation of Ambrose Cottage ,only available through the owners website. It is gorgeous, with some contemporary twists. Contact owners for details.
Massage,beauty treatments can be arranged at the cottages and we help to organise wedding arrangements if marrying while staying. We welcome all well behaved children , with travel cot booster high chair ,baby bath all available with no charge . We can offer baby sitting too.
We specialise in weekend and midweek breaks all year, except Christmas and New Year bookings.

Looking up to 600 acres of NT common land with free roaming cows in warmer months and a public golf course too; with kite fliers,walkers and cyclists a plateau with views into so many valleys.Walks with amazing views listed in cottage and from the doorstep with pub stops on route.
This is a very arty area of the Cotswolds with numerous festivals taking place all year. We have the famous Cheese Roll and Tetbury Woolsack Races, Gatcombe and Badminton Horse trials, Cheltenham Race festival too.
Brimscombe Port is below us and was once known worldwide as exporter of top quality wool from the Cotswolds, today it is undergoing the very start of restoration, eventually to make the local canals navigable again and finally to link the River Severn to the River Thames, making England navigable by water from west to east!
We have gardens and castles, shopping centres or for antiques and architectural salvage,but are roughly central in the Cotswolds for Bath, Cheltenham, Oxford, Stow, Burford, Cirencester etc
Stroud / Minchinhampton area
The award winning Farmers' Market just 2 miles away in Stroud every Saturday is well worth a visit for your locally harvested, organic produce and the craft market too. You can visit Prince Charles' shop the Highgrove in Tetbury High Street or enjoy the antique shops. Nearby is Westonbirt arboretum with summer concerts but beautiful all year.
Nailsworth is just 2 miles away and great for shopping from local artists works,painting, jewellery,pottery and a good oyster bar at Williams kitchen too . We love it!
Riding ,gliding,ballooning, waterskiing on lake - we can help to organise all these for you or simply chill and we will tell you what is happening the time of your stay.
How to get there
From London to Hillcrest is under 2 hours by car(1 and 1/2 hours from Heathrow airport). Good access from the M4 and M5 motorways, though there are some beautiful scenic routes to try instead of the fast lane to get you in holiday mode. There are some fast trains from London Paddington direct to Stroud station in under 2 hours.Stroud station is 2 miles from Hillcrest .There is a local bus station in Stroud which is fairly regular and a reliable taxi rank.

All new guests go "WOW" and the cottage gets a WOW too. To laze on the balcony through the day and watch the sun set in the evening is amazing, before lighting up time when the lights sparkle in the distance. A professional photographer took pics of the views from Hillcrest garden for a Sunday Telegraph article about this area of the Cotswolds and Giffords travelling Circus. You wont want to leave the cottage!

Our cottages do not cater for more than 4 +cot sleeping per cottage, and any additional day visitors must be made known to the owners on booking.
The cottages are opposite each other.
Outside smoking is permitted, provided the ashtray is used at all times.
Parties are not permitted at the cottage.
I am sorry we cannot accept pets.
We love and welcome children but they must be well behaved and supervised at all times.
A baby sitting service is available if we are informed in advance of your stay at £7.50 per hour.
Any special requirements must be enquired about before booking, we will always try to accommodate.
Conditions
To book we require £100 deposit and the balance 8 weeks prior to your stay. For a late booking we require payment in full on booking.
