Further details for this group of co-located holiday homes
Bell House Apartments consists of two self contained apartments, one significantly larger than the other. Bell One accommodates up to five guests in two large bedrooms (made up as twin/triple singles or superking doubles/single), Bell two accommodates up to four guests in two standard double bedrooms. The two apartments are completely private when rented together as a pair, with a street level entrance leading to these apartments only. The front doors of each apartment are next to each other on the first floor, with the larger apartment occupying that floor, and the smaller apartment directly above via the internal stairs - best thought of as two floors of a large house, with superfluous extra front doors!
The kitchen & dining area of the larger apartment is equipped to accommodate up to ten guests, & together with the living room area is an excellent space to serve as the entertaining room for both apartments. Full details of each apartment may be found in the individual advertisements.
(The remainder of the old part of the building consists of ground floor offices. The more recent extension to the building (25 years +) houses the Cotswolds Canals Trust visitor centre on the ground floor and two residential apartments above - this part of the building is entirely separate, with separate access, and no sound transmission.)

The Central England / Cotswolds / Cheltenham / Gloucester region

The Cotswolds are well known for breathtaking rolling countryside, gentle hillsides ('...wolds') and sleepy 'typically English' villages. This region is an area popular with both the English themselves and all visitors.
Bell House provides an ideal base for visits throughout the region including the spa towns of Bath and Cheltenham, and historic Cirencester, Gloucester, Bristol, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon....
Bath, a designated World Heritage Site, is one of Britain's most beautiful and historically significant cities; The Regency Spa town of Cheltenham is a significant venue for art/music/literature festivals; Gloucester's historic Cathedral featured in the films of J K Rowling's first Harry Potter books; Oxford is home to one of the most prestigious Universities in the World; visit Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon...
Diverse shopping opportunities, from specialist boutiques & designer outlet, to world class antiques and chain stores.
Something for everyone...
The Stroud area
The Cotswolds has many well known attractions but here are a few of the more unique experiences from just across the road up to within a 30 minute drive: local canal restoration, history in the making (www.cotswoldcanalsproject.org/brimscombe) ; take a trial flight in a glider, an adventurous way to take in the stunning local views; Bibury's Arlington Row, its origins dating from 1380, found in 'the most beautiful village in the Cotswolds' William Morris; the Severn Bore, a 'spectacular natural phenomena'; Hetty Pegler's Tump, part of the Cotswold's Neolithic history, and so much more..
It's a five minute drive (or a healthy walk up hill) up to the Commons with some of the most beautiful National Trust managed common land in the country, with outstanding and far reaching views over the Cotswolds, and towards the Severn Estuary and Wales beyond. Horses and cattle roam freely across the Commons, and the grassland slopes are home to rare butterfly and wildflower species including thirteen species of orchid. Minchinhampton Common has many interesting and important archaeological features, some dating from the Neolithic period.
The area is perfect for Walkers.

Guestbook for Bell House Apartments
'Apartments are in a great position for exploring Cotswolds, Sky+ a welcome find. Kitchens have everything we needed...Two lovely well appointed apartments that met our needs well' (TW, Dec 2010)
'Just what we needed for a break' (SC, Jan 2011)
'If you get the chance, stay here. What a place to stay, it was like staying in a five star hotel, everything that you could possibly need from shampoo and conditioner to tea bags, coffee and milk. The bed was more comfortable than our bed at home. The shower was brilliant and the kitchen/living room was more than big enough with every cooking facility that you could possibly need.' (online review March 2011)
'Just a quick note - we forgot to add an entry to the guest book - to say how fabulous we think the apartment is. We wish we'd had more time there and in Stroud itself, but everything was so comfortable for us - we could not have asked for more.' (NH. Feb 2011)
'Excellent facilities, great time had by all in apartments one & two' (PR, Feb 2011)
