Further details
Park Terrace, in its entirety, is listed Grade II - such is its importance in the history of Minchinhampton and local architecture. Built in 1833 by David Ricardo, the then owner of Gatcombe Park, Park Terrace stands proudly above Windmill Road. The construction follows the vernacular architecture in both style and materials and the individual dwellings now form most attractive cottage homes, of which this is a particularly fine example.

Park Terrace is ideally located to explore the beautiful Cotswolds scenery that surrounds it. Certainly the details on the website do not do this gorgeous cottage justice. The decor and furnishings are not what is expected from a holiday let - they go beyond expectations! Obviously the high standards found once you enter the cottage have been created for the owners' own comfort. Central heating, under floor heating, Sky TV, wi-fi internet access, DVD player and telephone all added to the pleasurable experience that we had while staying at Park Terrace. Five adults and two children comfortably stayed at the cottage and we all found it both warm and welcoming after returning having spent a day out exploring the area in the cold and the snow. Major supermarkets were a short drive away and an excellent Chinese Take Away, that also sold fish and chips, was within walking distance. From the initial enquiry to closing the door on our departure was a seamless transaction, including the excellent communication between Louise, the owner, and ourselves. We would highly recommend Park Terrace to anybody looking for a comfortable stay in The Cotswolds and we shall certainly return. |
