The Warwickshire region

Warwickshire is know as the Shakespeare’s county and one of the most beautiful counties in England with rolling green hills, and is a part of the Cotswolds.

Warwick has also some of stunning and well preserved medieval castles with the famous Warwick Castle hosting an annual jousting tournament in the summer.

The county has beautiful historic villages and a calm relaxed way of living.

Stratford-upon-Avon

Mostly known as the birth place of William Shakespeare and his home, which is a popular tourist attraction. The town of Stratford on Avon was the Bard’s home town, and you can still visit his house and Anne Hathaway’s cottage as well as the Swan Theatre.

Full architectural pearls, original buildings, churches and museum is a wonderful place to get to know the rich history not only of the town but also the region.

The places of interest we recommend are:

Royal Shakespeare Theatre

William Shakespeare's Birthplace

Anne Hathaway's Cottage

Warwick Castle

The Cotswolds

"Lovely Lodge"

Had a Great short break at river meets lodge. Spacious and well equipped. The family loved sitting in the window and being able to look at the river. Views are gorgeous, just a 2 minute walk over the footbridge to a relaxing river taxi ride into beautiful Stratford. Really peaceful. A very high standard of accommodation in a great location, Ideal for couples and families. Comfortable beds, all the mod cons, what more can we say. We will be back Great owner very help full on arrival

"a home from home, just a bit more luxurious!"

Having only 2 days off over the whole summer to get away, we wanted to pick somewhere peaceful and yet local to attractions...this was definitely the place to pick! So tranquil at the River avon setting and yet so close to amenities and local attractions, especially with the wonderful river boat taxi ride to town. The lodge surpassed our expectations and found the cost very reasonable also. Every last detail has been thought of inside the lodge and it definitely has that personal touch. The kids absolutely loved the spa bath and tv at the same time, what a treat! We will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Stratford Upon Avon, and would most certainly recommend to friends and family. Thanks for a great stay David. Elena

"Stunning location, stunning accomodation"

I booked a short stay for my family and I at Rivers Meet. From start to finish it was a great experience. Being met by the owners and provided with a tour of the lodge and site facilities was both welcoming, friendly and useful. The lodge has everything a family could need from the TV's in all living and sleeping areas to the luxury Jacuzzi bath. Fantastically equipped, clean, modern and very well maintained. The site was beautiful and being so close to the river provides a wonderful tranquil back drop. Open areas for the kids to playand wildlife all around. 3 minute drive into the centre of Stratford and ideally located for all attractions in the area. Would definitely return (the kids are already asking to go again) and have already recommended to friends and family.

"A luxury lodge with everything you could need and more"

Had a lovely short break at river meets lodge. Spacious and well equipped. The kids loved sitting in the jacuzzi bath and being able to watch their favourite tv programs on the built in flatscreen. Views are gorgeous, just a 2 minute walk over the footbridge to a relaxing river taxi ride into beautiful Stratford. Sat on the veranda in an evening, really peaceful. A very high standard of accommodation in a great location, could only be bettered with the addition of wifi. Ideal for couples and families. Comfortable beds, all the mod cons, what more can we say. We will be back
