William Shakespeare Stratford upon Avon is steeped in history and hosts many restaurants, theatres walks and good shopping situated short distances from villages, town and cities. Birmingham and the national exhibition centre is 30 minutes drive, Oxford to the south is 45 miles away and is serviced by the M40, there is a park and ride as you enter Oxford. Warwick with its famous castle is only 10 minutes drive from the apartment and is steeped in history. The Cotswolds are again only a short ride away and offers walking and beautiful picturesque villages and towns some cottages having thatched roofs. There are many activities in and around Stratford upon Avon to keep you entertained. Of course the Bard himself loved the place.
The Stratford upon Avon area
Stratford upon Avon offers the history of William Shakespeare together with the houses associated with him and the famous theatre. There are rowing boats and motor boats which you are able to hire and sail up and down the river, you can even have a boat trip and have lunch or dinner included. There is an array of quality shops, Restaurants, Cafe's and Bars for your enjoyment and is also an open air theatre on the riverside
There is a farmers market in Stratfords town centre as well as an outstanding Market which is at Wellsbourne that operates on a Saturday and bank holiday Mondays.
The leisure centre which hosts a swimming pool, squash and tennis courts and a visitor centre.

Our 3rd stay, the apartment is well presented, spotless and an ideal size for 2 adults and 2 small children. It is just a ten minute walk into Stratford, and a 2minute walk from a great retail park with M&S,Costa,Pizza Hut, Whsmith etc.The apartment is an ideal base for Warwick Castle, West Midlands Safari Park and Birmingham. Tony is always very helpful when booking and we cant wait to come back again next year! |

We really enjoyed our stay, which proved to be a much better option than staying in a hotel at this time of year when the Christmas Party season is in full swing! The apartment manager was very helpful and gave us tips on places to eat. The apartment had parking and was spotlessly clean and well placed approximately 10 minutes walk from the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. It was 2 minutes walk from a retail park with a Tesco store. We would highly recommend this apartment. |

Guestbook for The Swan Apartment
We spent a weekend in Stratford recently and I would highly recommend staying there. We found a very nice self catering apartment (brand new - we were the first guests!) a 10 minutes walk from the town centre and it was unbelievably reasonable. I'm sorry it has taken me so long to send this but we are having some building work at home and it's all a bit stressful.
I just wanted to say what a great break we had in Stratford and could not fault the accommodation you have there. The apartment is roomy, spotless and tastefully furnished. We found it easy to walk into town despite 3 children protesting!! It didn't take long at all. I would not hesitate to reccommend.

I just wanted to say a very big thank you, we had a lovely time, it was home from home, the apartment is superb and I would thoroughly recommend it to friends and family, I have taken some of your flyers to give out. just a wee note to say that we had a brilliant time in Stratford.
The apartment was great-although we spent most of our time out and about.
We went to Oxford for a day and went on the open top bus.enjoyed the sights in brilliant sunshine
Visited four of the shakespearean houses No time for mary arden's farm-.
Saw three plays and ate at a really good restaurant called Lamb's in Sheep Street.
Drinks at the Dirty Duck and were able to sit outside!!
weather was terrific-sunny and warm.
Apartment very comfortable and central.
Thanks for all your help in arranging our stay and for the milk and Stella on arrival-much appreciated.We hope to return to stratford when the theatre is completed and would like to stay at the sandpiper/swan if we do come back.
