The Central England / Cotswolds / Warwickshire region

Stratford Upon Avon is the perfect base from which to explore all the best that the Heart of England has to offer. The area includes beautiful countryside immediately surrounding Stratford with wonderful settings along the banks of the river Avon.
Visit the charming villages of the Cotswolds, Worcester and the Malvern Hills and the Castles of Warwick and Kenilworth. Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick are both a short journey by rail or car. Historic Oxford is only a 45 minute drive, as is Birmingham, and London can be reached by an excellent rail service from Stratford Upon Avon.
The Stratford upon Avon / Stratford Town Centre area
The birthplace and final resting place of William Shakespeare, and home to the Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford Upon Avon is one of the busiest tourist attractions outside London.
Aside from the extensive theatre complexes, you can visit the Bard's birthplace, a half-timbered Tudor house, now restored as a museum, and his wife Anne Hathaway's pretty cottage in the nearby village of Shottery.
The town itself is dominated by Shakespeare's legacy, and guided tours, on foot and by bus, are available. There are an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and al fresco cafes. Enjoy a drink in the Garrick Inn, one of Stratford's oldest pubs and a favourite haunt for Thespians!
Golf, fishing, tennis and horse-riding are all available nearby and there are pleasure cruises, floating restaurants and self-hire boats for you to enjoy on the River Avon.

Guestbook for Shakespeare Street
Upon arriving we were greeted warmly and shown around and told everything we needed to know. The accommodation was perfect, cannot wait to visit again. Would recommend this to anyone. Glad to know we were the first Andy & Lynda Jones
Perfect stay for a holiday in Stratford-upon-Avon. The owner, Beryl, was a delight to deal with, greeting us warmly and was most accommodating. There was excellent high speed internet both wireless and broadband which was important to us as we needed to bring our laptop and work during our stay. If you are staying in Stratford look no further than this lovely suite. Carmel Fowers and Michael Britton, October/November, 2010
A lovely little house with everything we needed and in a fantastic location! We'll definitely be coming back on our next trip to Stratford! P.S. Thank you for brolly loan! Lynsey & Neil, Cheshire..
A lovely little house, ideally situated, would definitely recomment to friends and family. We hope to return. Julie & Kev
Thoroughly enjoyed our week in Stratford. Lovely litttle house and in such a good position for wandering around the historic sites. Saw Anthony and Cleopatra - brilliant! Visited some spring gardens further afield and many coffee shops!!! Katheryn & David, South Devon
Excellent short stay - lovely walks nearby - lovely accommodation. We really enjoyed it. Thank you! Lynne & Roger
