Being only 3 minutes walk away from the beach, which has stunning views of False Bay and Table Mountain. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. 10 minutes from one of the most spectacular coastal drives in the Western Cape.
The apartments are open planned airy and spacious and tastefully decorated for your comfort and relaxation. Each apartment sleeps 4 people with 2 bedrooms - One a mezzanine open planned loft room with king size or 2 singles and downstairs room with queen size bed. Both have en-suite bathrooms.

Strand area
The Strand is a popular holiday resort, that some call “the Riviera of the Cape.” In the heart of the Western Cape Winelands it is bordered by 35 kilo-metres of pristine white sandy beaches and the safe, balmy waters of False Bay. The weather is typical Mediterranean and the cool breeze from the sea often keeps the high summer temperatures under control. The beach is popular for surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing etc. Depending on the time of year the water temperature can vary but during summer it is very pleasant. Rock and boat fishing is good and fresh fish can be bought directly from the fishing boats.
Staying in the Strand you have the luxury of many worlds as you are close to Cape Town and have access to many scenic day trips. The winelands are just around the corner and there is a good mix of upmarket and family restaurants.
CLIMATE: The climate is excellent from september - April ( avg 28 ) June - Aug winter , rain , ( avg 17 - 21)
THINGS TO DO: - 5 min walk to popular safe swimming beach - Walking distance to shops restaurants - 3 min to Somerset Shopping Mall with 176 shops, many restaurants,cinema etc - Surfing, Kite surfing, windsurfing, Sailing, fishing, water-skiiing - 10 min drive to Gordon's Bay (a quaint harbour village) which has one of the best whale watching spots between June and Nomvember each year. - Helderberg Nature Reserve for walks, bird watching.

The Wine routes of Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington, Franschoek can easily be explored from Strand. 4. Shark Cage Diving, Sandboarding, Kloofing all in easy reach from Strand. -
How to get there
- Car hire / Shuttle services available from Cape Town airport - Umkulu Lodge offer an airport pick-up service on request.
DIRECTIONS: Take N2 past the airport and continue towards Somerset West. Take the turn off R44 from the N2 and turn left at the traffic lights. Continue towards strand beach road past the golf course. now in Beach Road take a left at the 2nd traffic light at Sarel Cilliers street . Continue over the 2nd stop street and no 83 on the right-hand side.
