"Perfect family getaway"
We stayed 3 nights at Granary Cottage after reading the reviews on trip advisor and seeing the lovely pictures on line. We were looking for a self catering property where we could relax and enjoy a quiet break. Having recently had a baby (he was 9 weeks old) we needed a well equipped kitchen to meet his needs, plus my husbands (who is a keen cook and wanted to look after us while we were away). Granary cottage exceeded our expectations - it was quaint but furnished to a very high standard. It was in the depth of the country side so very quiet (with the exception of the resident rooster!!) and the owner - Johanne - was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. She had even left some welcome provisions from the local farmshop for us, which was a lovely surprise. If you had older children there's an amazing games room set up in an outhouse and 2 lovely big paddocks to run around in.
All in, a perfect family retreat in a beautiful setting.
