The cottage interior is smart and contemporary. Guests enter from the courtyard, or directly through the patio doors that open onto views of woodland. The generous ground floor living space comprises a useful lobby area, with plenty of room for coats and shoes, a huge and airy kitchen/diner, with further patio doors opening onto long decked south facing balcony, a comfortable living room with all new furnishings, plus sofa bed; and a brand new shower room with over-sized shower and sensor lighting. Upstairs the space has been cleverly used. The two double bedrooms (one with zip'n'link twin/super king) have ample storage and quirky triangular windows. There is also a further family bathroom, with bath and over-bath shower. Finally, leading on from the double bedroom is a bonus room, which is ideal for a cot and has a single bed, with a pull out second bed, suitable for children to sleep in. There are no windows in this room, negating the need for blackout blinds for early risers, but cheery bunting and furnishings make it very attractive to mini guests. ??

About this location

The East Anglia region

Suffolk is a hidden gem. A county full of charm and history. Why not explore some of the fabulous local attractions while staying at Stowlangtoft Estate. We recommend the following trips:

- Bury St Edmunds - A historic Market Town.

- Wyken Vineyards - A lovingly restored Farm Shop, Cafe, Michelin 'Bib Gourmand' rated Restaurant & Farmers Market.

- City of Cambridge - The historic university city of Cambridge is just 45 minutes away. Visit the colleges and take a guided punt along the scenic River Cam.

- Aldeburgh - A beautiful Suffolk coastal town with real charm and a renowned music festival. The perfect seaside day out.

Nearby Bury St Edmunds offers picturesque walks through the beautiful Abbey Gardens, with the remains of the 11th century abbey, plus a lovely playground and ducks a plenty to feed, if you have little ones in tow. Explore the market square (market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays), or take a tour round the Greene King Brewery (every day, varying times). If you fancy a cup of coffee, try The Lounge on Hatter St, or Coffee and Kids in nearby Langton Place. For something more substantial, Abbeygate St has an array of restaurants.
