Cottage | 2 bedrooms | sleeps 2
Very much the quintessential Cotswolds' cottage set deep in the typical Cotswold village! Rose Cottage is a very romantic, cosy cottage - huge inglenook fireplace with flagstone flooring in the living room give a true sense of tradition in this period building, dating back to the 17th Century. In fact it is suggested that this once belonged to the 'Village Alehouse Keeper'!
Today the owner has created a very welcoming feel inside all very quirky and very romantic! The cottage is well equipped and also enjoys a very large garden overlooking fields beyond. Even though the property is ideal for two people, there is a second bedroom with a potential two extra beds* which would be suitable for one or two children - there is plenty of seating downstairs. A lovely cottage in a lovely village!

The Central England/Cotswolds region
Stow on the Wold is the most local town and this has all the necessary shops, including supermarket, cafes, antique shops (etc) plus many pubs and restaurants. Regency Cheltenham and the magnificent university town of Oxford are also within striking distance (about 40 mins drive) although it is possible to catch the train from Kingham station, the next village, which will take you into Oxford in 20 mins or London in 1 hr 45mins. All round a gorgeous location.
Stow on the Wold
The village of Bledington is located in the valley of the River Evenload, close to the famous Cotswold towns of Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water and Burford. It lies on the Oxfordshire Way walk which is a super trail which takes you up on the wolds (hills) via Wyck Beacon and then down to Bourton-on-the-Water. The village is very attractive (one of the most sort after in property terms) and has the quintessential village green coupled with an excellent pub: The Kings Head, which serves real ale as well as superb food. There are an abundance of other excellent pubs incl Chequers (Churchill) and Plough (Kingham.)
