The Cotswolds region

The Cotswolds are one of the most ‘quintessential English’ regions in the UK.

It is officially designated as the country’s largest ‘areas of outstanding natural beauty’. Famous for its hillsides, river valley’s and Cotswold Stone Villages, the Cotswolds hold a wealth of history, stunning scenery, fine dining and many varieties of activities for all age levels.

Stow-on-the-Wold

Stow in the Wold is a very attractive market town retaining many of traditional features associated with the Cotswolds, including many antique shops, art galleries and gift shops as well as many cafes and restaurants. You could, of course try what is reputed to be the oldest pub in England! There are Farmers markets monthly and a lovely Christmas market annually or come and see the Battle of Stow re-enactment. Slightly further afield are Burford, Moreton in Marsh, and Bourton on the Water and for the more adventurous Stow is convenient for other places such as Warwick, Stratford on Avon, Cheltenham and Oxford.
