The Central England/Cotswolds region

The Cotswolds is the largest designated area of outstanding natural beauty in England and Wales. It has a rich unique history, culture and natural beauty with rolling countryside, gorgeous honey coloured limestone villages, beautiful stately homes, gardens and historic castles.

Stow on the Wold

Brook Lodge is an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. It is set about two and a half miles from the historic village of Stow-on-the-Wold, which is not only very picturesque and ripe with history but also has good amenities including pharmacy, supermarkets, library and beautiful unique shops. There is an abundance of tearooms, pubs, restaurants and take aways to cater for every need. Also within a 15minute drive are the towns of Chipping Norton, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water, and Burford. Within a 30/40 minute drive are the larger towns of Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham, Banbury, Cirencester and Oxford. The Cotswolds contains numerous attractions and stately homes and gardens and we try to keep a good selection of leaflets and information in the lodge.
