I booked Kelross Retreat for myself and my husband for our honeymoon. The accommodation was welcoming, cosy and extremely comfortable. The owner knew we where honeymooning and added some lovely touches such as rose petals on the bed!! The cottage is tucked away off the main street so the garden provided a lovely space to eat and relax in the evenings. Parking was always available in the courtyard and the town was just a pleasant, short walk from the cottage. We found lots of nice places to eat with great live music on in the evenings in several pubs. Overall a fantastic stay - wish it was for longer! |

Overall Kelross Retreat was disappointing. It was the third cottage we stayed in on our three week holiday in the UK. It was the most expensive of the three cottages and the only one we were disappointed with. We thought it needed a refurbish. It was difficult to have a shower without wetting the floor and the bed/s was too soft and sagged. The cottage had all we needed in terms of a place to stay for a week, but we found it quite cluttered. The second bedroom is this size of a closet! Stow on the Wold is a nice little village to stay in if you want to explore the area. For the price we paid you may find better. |
