The Aberdeenshire region

Aberdeenshire has a rich prehistoric and historic heritage. It is the locus of a large number of Neolithic and Bronze Age archaeological sites, including Longman Hill, Kempstone Hill, Catto Long Barrow and Cairn Lee. Since medieval times there have been a number of crossings of the Mounth through present day Aberdeenshire from the Scottish Lowlands to the Highlands.

"One man's castle can be another man's home!"

Teresa & Team,
Remember the old maxim "one man's home is another man's castle"? Well your "castle" quickly became our home! Teresa, you and your team did an excellent job of preparing for our arrival on a Sunday evening (when most stores are closed) by stocking the apartment in advance of our arrival with the basics, e.g. milk, cereal, bread etc. The apartment itself was lovely with all of the needed amenities including TV, DVD player, WiFi, and many others. Given the remote, but very beautiful location, I wasn't sure (nor did I care) that we would be able to be in touch with the outside world. A babbling brook, verdant woods, glorious wild life; no wonder so many weddings are held here. Beautiful does not begin to describe the locale. Communication from Teresa was excellent with so many follow-up emails I was sure she must have had some insight to my advanced years and good, albeit short memory. No details were missed and I would whole-heartedly recommend The Castle Stables at Drumtochty Castle! After a month of seeing all the sights from Amsterdam, Paris and London this was a great way to relax and recover...a perfect end to a wonderful vacation. Worth a special trip...Scotland! Thanks Teresa and team for a wonderful 5 day visit to your country.
Gary & Elizabeth.

Our guests were clean and tidy, they took great care of our property.

I would recommend them to every host and would welcome them back anytime.
