Horseshoe Cottage is a barn conversion all on one level, making it suitable for people with limited mobility. The owners have managed to retain the original beams from the barn with high ceilings making it very spacious. This modern property provides an excellent base for families and couples looking to explore the North York Moors. The furnishings and décor have been done to a very high standard with luxury leather settees and 48” LCD TV in the lounge and well-equipped modern kitchen. The log burner in the lounge/ dining room gives the whole room a cosy welcoming feel to it. The large garden area is ideal for children playing football and the garden furniture in the patio area is ideal for relaxing on a summers evening and enjoying a glass of wine

The Northern England / Yorkshire/Yorkshire Dales region

The North York Moors National Park lies just inland from the North Yorkshire coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough and has 1,400 miles of trails, footpaths and bridleways, surrounded by heather clad rolling moor land dotted with pretty rural villages and historic country towns. Carving a pathway deep through the North York Moors is the famous North Yorkshire Moors steam railway, which carries passengers from Pickering in the south, north to Grosmont and then along the lovely Esk Valley to Whitby on the coast. This area handy for those who want to experience the many aspects that Yorkshire has to offer with easy access to both the Yorkshire Coast and Yorkshire Dales.

The Stokesley / Great Broughton area

It is nestled in the quiet picturesque village of Great Broughton, on the edge of the North York Moors. Great Broughton itself has quite a few public houses serving excellent home cooked meals. The historic market town of Stokesley is only a couple of miles away with its distinguished wide cobbled streets lined with many shops, pubs and restaurants and many interesting Georgian and Victorian buildings.The area is perfect for keen ramblers and cyclists as it overlooks Cringle Moor and the famous Wainstones on the Cleveland Way. Other spectacular walks can be found close by at Roseberry Topping, Kildale (Captain Cook's Monument) and Carlton Bank. The area is surrounded by stunning scenery and a short drive away will take you to the beautiful Yorkshire Coast.
