This beautiful detached Stone Built Barn was converted in 2007 offering you a perfect holiday home in the heart of England. Well presented accommodation situated is a rural village location. The cottage backs onto a wooded area which is private. Accommodation offers: sitting room, fitted dining kitchen, first floor, two double bedrooms and shower room. Hollington offers two public houses (one offering pub grub and the other with a restaurant - which is excellent), a church, village hall, a number of walks clearly identifable and views across the valley.
The area is famous for Alton Towers (2 Miles away), Croxden Abbey (1 Mile), Uttoxeter Race Coarse (6 Miles), The Peak District (10 Miles), Trentham Gardens & Monkey Park (12 Miles), Carsington Water (15 Miles).

This Barn dates back to the 19th Century and was converted in 2007 offering excellent accommodation for a beautiful and comfortable holiday home. With Upvc double glazed and centrally heated accommodation it offers: Sitting room with Free View, Two easy Sofa's, chair, cupboards with DVDs, Video's (incase it rains!) books and games. Dining Kitchen with an Electric Oven, Hob and Extractor, extendable table and 4 chairs. First Floor Landing with Smoke Alarm, 2 Bedrooms: Master Bedroom with a King size bed, dressing table, 2 bedside drawers and rail. 2nd bedroom with 2 twin beds, two bedside drawers and rail. Shower room with a large shower, wc and Pedestal wash hand basin.

There is ample parking for approx 4/6 cars enclosed with a stone wall. A good size enclosed paved terrace with potted plants and garden furniture finished with a small flower garden. There is also outside lighting. To the rear of the terrace is a Woodland area which is private. Hollington had many Footpaths with are all identifable and there is a map at the cottage showing them.

* We will allow well behaved dogs (maximum of 2) and we have provided blankets to protect the furniture.
* There is a welcome pack on arrival with details of the cottage and local amenities.
Conditions
*50% deposit is required on booking and the balance is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.
* 100% of rental fee due for booking made within 6 weeks of your stay to secure booking.
* This Property is not suitable for children under 3.
* Well behaved dog welcome at an extra cost of £20 per dog (max of 2 dogs)
The Heart of England / Peak District / Staffordshire region


Here in the Midlands we are enjoying excellent weather. For those of you with your car you can enjoy a wide variety of English Historic places: Chatsworth House, Sudbury Hall, Shrugbrough Hall, Haddon Hall, Hardwick Hall, Little Morton Hall, Kedleston Hall.
For the children there is Alton Towers Theme Park, Splash Landing, Waterworld, Indoor Snow Dome, Heights of Abraham Theme Park, The Monkey Par and, Chester Zoo.
For the more active there as Dovedale, the Peak District, Blithfield Water and Carsington Water with water sports. We are close to many Trails ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding at Denstone, Alton, Dimmingsdale, Ashbourne, Cauldon, Cheddleton and Middleton. Cycle hire is available from: Ashbourne, Waterhouses, Buxton, Carsington and Middleton by Wirksworth.
The Stoke-on-Trent / Hollington area
Churnet Valley offers Steam Train rides and History museums on the Canels in the local area. Stoke on Trent is famous for its Pottery and there are Museums and China Factory Shops. In all the towns mentioned there are swimming pools with Sports Centres.
Just a small walk away is The Raddle Inn a public house ideal for Children with swings, slides, bouncey castle, pool table, outdoor furniture and amazing views. There is also The Star Inn which is more a local drinking pub again offering outdoor furniture and a pool table. Within 4 miles there are many restaurants including: English, Chinese and Indian. There are Cinema's and Ten Pin Bowling at Uttoxeter and Stoke on Trent.
There is an Abbey in situated in the next village, Croxden Abbey, dating back to the 11th Century.

Situated between 4 Market towns of Ashbourne, Leek, Cheadle and Uttoxeter with easy access via the M1, M6, A50, A38 and A52. East Midlands Airport (Ryan Air, Easy Jet, Fly Be, BMI, etc) is just 50 minutes drive away. Other Airports are Manchester,Birmingham and Liverpool which are approx 1hour 30 minutes. At all airports we use and recommend Europe Car. If traveling by train there are stations at Uttoxeter (6 miles), Stoke on Trent (10 Miles), Stafford (20 Miles), Derby (24 miles), Burton on Trent (25 Miles).

Our general rule is the first night is £120 and £120 for each night thereafter, with some exceptions on bank holiday and weekends.
