There are two ground floor doubles, two doubles on the first floor, a single, and adult bunk bedroom and two twins. There are also two wet rooms on the ground floor, and a bathroom and shower room on the first floor. Downstairs is a spacious open plan living area, with a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and a sitting area as well as an additional WC and utility room. Outside, the large lawned garden has a patio and hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the area. There is ample off road parking. With Alton Towers and the delights of the Peak District National Park so close, Birchwood House makes a great base for family or friends.

The lovely wooded hamlet of Ramshorn is only a 15 minute walk from the entrance of Alton Towers, the popular theme park. There are so many attractions and activities at the park and it caters for all ages and abilities. The nearby market town of Ashbourne is 12 miles away and offers a variety of shops and places to eat and has a rich history, making it an interesting town to explore. Chatsworth House and Park and the halls of Haddon and Hardwick are all within reach as are a myriad of fascinating little towns and villages such as Bakewell, Hartington, Tissington and many more. There are walks aplenty, golf, cycle trails and even rock climbing in this fabulous area making it a wonderful base for a family holiday.

The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
