This idyllic setting is a fabulous base to explore the many walks in the area and a little further you will find such walks as the Tissington trail and the Manifold Valley,Only 30 mins. drive to Alton Towers and 40 mins to Gullivers Kingdom.

The Heart of England / Peak District / Staffordshire region

Stoke on Trent, famous all over the world for it's pottery heritage. Wedgwood,Gladstone and Moorcroft all have visitor centres open all year.Garden centres such as Trentham and Stapeley water gardens are open all year too.
Churnet valley railway,- Steam train rides, listed station building, museum (santa special for christmas)
Chatsworth house is a 45 min. drive. well worth a visit. Little Morton hall and Fordgreen hall are both close by and also worth a visit.
Jodrell bank with it's telescopes can be seen from the property and their visitor centre is open all year.


Stoke-on-Trent / Alsagers Bank area

Alsagers Bank is a lovely village with local amenities including a great Chineese takeaway.
Apedale country park,once mined for coal is now a beautiful park, with miles of safe pathways and spectacular views over the potteries.
You are right in the middle of the "five towns" Handy for shopping, museums, theatres, dining, clubs and much more.
