The quay opens out to the wide stretches of the River Dart, so bring your boat, launch from the slipway (Dart Harbour Authority Licence required) and explore the dreamy waters of the Dart estuary, a haven for boat enthusiasts. The West Country region

Few areas of the UK, or even Europe, have a lure greater than beautiful South Devon. Dramatic Dartmoor gives way to rolling hills, wooded valleys and stunning coastline that never fails to leave visitors wishing they could stay just that little bit longer. While away your days in market towns and quaint villages that retain their tradition whilst now offering fine dining and excellent shopping, or leave the townships behind and head to any one of the outstanding sandy beaches that dot the South Devon coast. It's impossible not to fall in love with lazy, relaxed South Devon and it's otherworldly pace of life.

Stoke Gabriel

This unique area of outstanding natural beauty is particularly popular with sailors and fishermen along with all those with an artistic temperament and who enjoy peaceful tranquillity in a truly beautiful rural environment. Delightful riverside villages such as Dittisham, Tuckenhay, Ashprington and Stoke Gabriel situated in the heart of the South Hams make this area unique. Unspoilt tree-lined banks, secret creeks with countryside sweeping down to the river have been inspirational to many. Walkers, ornithologists and photographers can enjoy the delights of river, estuary and countryside and boat trips from Dartmouth will take you up river to Totnes with its winding streets, historic town walls and ancient castle.
