Newholme is a large self-catering holiday house in Stirling, Scotland, just a minute's walk from the charming village of Cambusbarron and five minutes drive from the centre of town. We are a family friendly property and at over 5000 square feet, Newholme has room for everyone. Enjoy movies on the flat screen television in the sitting room or hide away with a book in front of the open fire in the spacious drawing room. Our dining room can seat up to 12 people and the kitchen is well stocked and set up for entertaining. When weather permits, enjoy roaming around the expansive garden and barbecuing in the evening.

The fully fitted kitchen is perfectly suited for entertaining large parties and we've had lots of great celebrations at Newholme. A popular option is to use one of our two local Cordon Bleu trained cooks who regularly provide either special occasion or weekly catering options.

Off street, secluded parking for 5-6 cars.

Wifi is available and is free.

Dogs are welcome with prior arrangement.

During the summer months, if all has gone well with the planting, you can pick your own herbs and vegetables.

Newholme House is a perfect base for exploring Scotland. We are just 45 minutes away from both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Unfortunately, we do not accommodate stag or hen parties.

"Fantastic house!!"

We were looking for a large house to accommodate 6 adults, 3 young boisterous boys and a baby and Newholme was perfect! From the moment we arrived Nikki and David made us feel very welcome (the cupcakes were amazing!). The house is huge but cosy, the boys loved playing in the huge hall and grand staircase. The bedrooms are nice and big, most with sinks and the bathrooms were clean with great showers. The kitchen is fabulous and we loved cooking on the huge range (don't let it scare you!). The dining room was huge with a massive table (we thought it needed a couple of lamps just to give it a cosy feel?). We loved the sitting room with the real fire and the device you have to start it is ingenious! Stirling itself has lots to do and there's a great park for the kids 10 minutes walk from the house. We had a fantastic family get together and made lots of wonderful memories and we hope to visit Newholme again soon!

This house was made for families and so it's nice that it can be part of so many family reunions. David and I have been discussing lamps in the dining room and with your review, I think we'll go ahead and set them up. We hope that you'll come back with your family again in the future!
