The ancient town of Stirling is a few minutes away from the steading, with its wonderful and beautifully restored 16th Century Castle dominating the landscape and steeped in its often bloody history. Wander through the outstanding architecture of the old town where history comes alive. Stirling city centre has a plethora of coffee shops and restaurants as well as a diverse choice of shops to satisfy all tastes.A ten minute drive will take you to the Wallace Monument dating back to the Victorian era.
