About the home

Comfortable small three-rooms flat located on Capo Falcone promontory, in the village Roccaruja, about 60m2 surface, overviewing the beautiful Asinara sea. The white seashore of Gabbiano is only 650 m far and only 800 m from Pelosa seshore, one of the most beautiful Mediterranean seashores. For people who love rocky coasts, it is possible to reach the close “Valle della Luna”, a fantastic bay, perfect for snorkeling where visitors can enjoy wonderful sunsets.

The house is perfect for 3 people, but it can comfortably give hospitality to 4 people. In the night area there is a double-room and a very small bedroom with a bunk-bed. The living-room is furnished with double-davenport, the cooking-area is equipped with electrical household appliances, a dining-table and a cupboard. From the living room you can reach the terrace, that is furnished in a very comfortable way: the perfect place to relax after a sea-day and to enjoy summer evenings. The bathroom is provided with shower and washing-machine.

The flat is located at the first floor of an array-complex, surrounded by beautiful shared English lawn and Mediterranean wood, reachable from the veranda. It has got independent entrance and park spot.

The Sardinia region

Stintino is located in the north west corner of Sardinia. It is a pictoresque village of 1300 people with two small fisherman ports, born in 1885 when 45 fisherman families moved to mainland from the Asinara island. The Saline and Pelosa beaches are few km away from the village. The second one, with its bright fine sand, it blue water and the beautiful panorama of the Asinara Island, is among the finest of the whole Sardinia and Mediterranean sea. Sardinia offer 300 sunshine days per year and an average temperature that vary from 14°C to 20° C. So that you can experience an incredibly holiday from Easter to October.

The Stintino / Roccaruja area

Stintino rises on the far Sardinian north-west coast, in front of Asinara, a small island where once there was one of the most important Italian penitentiary and today turned into natural park, known for its beautiful and intact nature and reachable only by boat subject to agreement of Local Port Police. The most famous beach is "La Pelosa", with its unique crystalline shallow waters and breathtaking colours.

Just few min driving from the house there are bar and restaurants, open till night. In Stintino you will be able to buy some of the delicacies of our cuisine and also wonderful objects and jewels made by our experienced artisans. The village offers you all the services useful for your holidays. The seashore is free but there is the possibility to rent beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs.

“Stintino Fantastic” This 2 bed apartment was small but enough for 2 adults. The 2nd bedroom was small with 2 bunk beds ok for up to 2 children. Both the main Bedroom and the Lounge had access to a large shady terrace which was very private and only had direct sun early in the morning. The doors to the terrace had a glass door on the inside a slideable fly screen in the middle and a solid outer door which when close made the bedroom 100% dark. At night there was almost total silence. In the morning we had breakfast on the large terrace which was very well equipped with a solid table and plenty chairs with cushions a plenty on wicker armchairs which were very comfortable. There was also a gas barbacue but we didn't use it. The only problem we had was the air-conditioning not working which the owner compensated us for and provided a fan. The Bathroom had plenty hot water for regular showers and a washing machine. Young children played in the grass garden which was large and very well kept. The Kitchen was very well equipped with electric kettle, toaster, full gas /electric cooker and good size fridge freezer, all was spotlessly clean when we arrived.. The double bed was comfortable and Towels and Bed linen were included in the price as was final cleaning. The Location was very quiet but within walking distance to one of the finest beaches in the med in my view. The large turquoise lagoon with crystal clear water and white sandy beach was just spectacular, a must see on google earth but the real thing will take your breath away. There were plenty Restaurants to choose from close by. The yacht club was very good but best is up the hill from La Pelosa beach at Capo Falcona. Staff were fantastic, food was great, price was reasonable, and the view over the lagoon was amazing. If you are looking for lively night life and boozy pubs you wont find them here. This beautiful place is unspoilt, spotlessly clean and purely for family or couple holidays where rest, relaxation, with magnificent beaches and water sports are the order of the day. A car is not essential as the Bus Stop is close by but having a small rental car will greatly add to your freedom and enjoyment at this fantastic location. Five stars.
