The Queensland region

Stanthorpe and the surrounding Granite Belt and Granite Highlands area of South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales are the centre of a booming winery and national parks tourist destination. There are more than 50 wineries in the Granite Belt area, with a wide range of restaurants, Accommodation places and tourist venues. The Granite Belt national parks are Girraween, Bald Rock, Sundown, Boonoo Boonoo. Wine and tourism are a very important part of the town's economy, with the region operating its own wine and tourism marketing body named Granite Belt Wine Country. Backpacking is popular and there is large demand for fruit and vegetable pickers from November until May each year.[18] Storm King Dam offers some good angling opportunities for Murray Cod, Yellowbelly and Silver Perch.

Stanthorpe

The Granite Belt is more than a premium food and wine destination surrounded by stunning national parks and prehistoric granite formations. While the region's reputation for award winning wine and gourmet produce has gained national momentum in recent years, it is the people who bring the story to life and offer an intimate experience unlike any other food and wine region in Australia.

"We'll be back, best holiday in a long time!"

What a lovely property and such welcoming owners (although we never saw them) :) Beautifully appointed and spacious, all that you could ask for in a holiday home including coffee machine, pizza oven … More

Thank you for the wonderful review. Though the door can be lock and is secure the fire laws require us to have one door that can be open without a key from the inside in case of a fire. As for the outside it is a work in progress we are waiting for counsel approval to put a deck out the back. Thank you again for being wonderful guest and look forward to welcoming you again.
