The West Country region

Safari Glamping is situated in North Dorset in an idyllic region called the Blackmore Vale. Thomas Hardy described it as 'a vale of little dairies'. Today, the Vale has retained that intimacy of small fields, tree lined hedgerows, and woodland.

Stalbridge

Safari Glamping is within the historic Stalbridge Park, in an old cider orchard, surrounded by woodland. The location is perfect

With only two tents and about 30 acres of woodland to explore, there is seclusion and peace.

The village of Stalbridge is two miles away with a butcher, bank, post office and small supermarket, making it highly convenient.

The local town, Sherborne, is renown for being one of the prettiest in the West Country and has at its centre the Abbey. There are two castles adjacent to the town.

There is a good collection of local attractions including the Safari Park and house of Longleat, Stourhead gardens, Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, Corfe Castle, Bovinton Tank Museum, Fleet Air Arm Museum and the Jurassic Coast.

"Fantastic family holiday"

We had a great time glamping here in a cider orchard on the Somerset / Dorset border. The children were very happy roaming around in the outdoors, making camps, swinging on the hammocks and eating food cooked on the camp fires. The tent is luxurious with loads of facilities to make the stay easy, relaxing and comfortable. Our slight concern about camping with 3 young children (including one of 18 months in a cot) all sharing one tent and waking each other up, proved groundless. The surrounding area is beautiful with lots to see and explore, even on rainy days. Thoroughly recommended.
