Home description
The property sits in an elevated position just a 2 minute walk from the Wolfgangsee. There are many restaurants within easy walking distance and it is only a leisurely 10 minute walk into the centre of St Wolfgang.
The Schafberg steam railway and access to the ferries that traverse the lake are less than a 5 minute walk. There is a public bathing area just a 2 minute walk from the house if you fancy a dip.
In the winter months good family skiing can be had in the local Postalm ski area which is a 20 minute drive with skiing for the more adventurous available within 30 minutes.
It is an ideal property for large families or two families for either summer or winter vacations.

The Upper Austria/Salzkammergut region
The region is exceptionally beautiful and makes and ideal holiday location in summer or winter. In summer the weather attracts many to the lake to indulge in the many water sports available.
There are plenty of sight seeing trips to enjoy. In winter, the skiing is not far away either by car or the free local ski bus.
St Wolfgang area
There are many festivals throughout the year - at Christmas time there is the Advent Festival with various activities taking place throughout the month of December.
In the summer, you can relax by the lake at the public bathing places and enjoy a dip in the crystal clear waters of the lake. There are all manner of watersports; water skiing, scuba diving, sailing, etc
There is a beautiful golf course approximately 20 minutes drive from the chalet.
How to get there
The property is only 45 minutes drive from Salzburg Airport which is services by cheap flights from London Stansted all year round by Ryan Air. In the winter months there are also other cheap flights from other local UK airports - Leeds/Bradford- Jet2, Manchester - Thomson etc.
You could also look at flights to Munich which is a 2 hour drive or Vienna, a 3 hour drive.
All the usual hire car companies Hertz, Avis, Europcar have offices at the airport and you will need to check which is the cheapest at the time but generally we have found Sixt to offer the most competitive rates.
